I guess I'm easier to please. I'm super excited for the VF-4, 17D with Super Packs, 19P and the super parts for my 171.

You should mount missiles on that third hard point too. Load that sucker down.

We've already seen the Box. It's got the VF-4 lineart and schematics of the toy in the background.

What's the difference? You're still wearing goofy glasses either way. Though a reason I can think of in New Mexico is that we don't have an IMAX theater so your only option is regular 3D or 2D.

Oh hell, I just realized I never posted those pics of the part that broke on me. I'd better do that when I get home from work. It's my fault I didn't properly drill out the holes well enough.

Good to hear. One of us had to take the plunge. I'm glad it's working out for all of us.

While it probably does serve a plot device, consider how many operators it takes to pilot something like a Tank, and those things just roll around. The difficulties of tying together a Tank with the ability to move like a human would be exponentially higher.

From a Licensing standpoint, yes. Yamato would know best if a business standpoint makes any sense, however.

Ever played a Wii? Who says the gestures they make have to have any sort of 1 to 1 correlation to what the Jeager is actually doing? Regardless, it's a pretty simple algorithm, even now, to assign a person as controller 1 and controller 2 and coordinate what controls what functions. I'm not saying you won't end up being right, because maybe they weren't focused on making this nats-ass accurate (because this isn't a real Defense program for a Mech that actually HAS to work) or maybe they're lazy. But there are other explanations that could be possible.

Hmm, similar but different to what I was going to try.

I got that wrong, it's $109. Still, that's just the one.

For me personally it's not just the VF-4G. VF-17D with the Super Packs, that's almost $400, 19P is $300, 171 Armor Packs is another $150. Plus two 4G's, which is something like $700. All dropping at once around Christmas. That's a LOT of money to spend at a time when we already spend a lot of money. Though between Christmas in the US and New Years in Japan we could potentially get this thing MANY weeks later then a usual release which is a bummer considering how long a lot of people have been waiting for a VF-4 release.

Holy poop, EVERYTHING is being released at once. 4G,19P,17D, the armor parts. That's a HUGE hit all at once.

Every other time I've ordered from Nippon Yasan they have sent me an invoice. This time I was curious because of the wildly fluctuating price and I decided to go pro-active with it to see what would happen. I only had a chance to pay for one of the two though, as the website is down for "maintenance" again.

I just got a response from Nippon-Yasan. They told me that when I go to pay I will be billed at whatever the current price is. Logged into Paypal and sure enough I was charged at the current listed price, $309. So there you go. Just a matter if you're not enthused about their shipping prices I suppose. Or the odd times they go down for maintenance.

Wah, wah, blah, blah, doesn't look like my favorite Anime... get over yourselves. You don't like they way they look don't watch it. Crying that a bunch of Mech's designed by Americans (and at least one Mexican) don't look like they're Japanese is stupid. If they tried to make them look Japanese you'd complain they look like cheap Japanese imitations. Del Toro was influenced by the Japanese but he sure as hell isn't stupid enough to try to copy them. These things had to look different. You may not like the design, but if you don't think that Cherno Alpha doesn't have it's own discernible look you're crazy or lying to yourself.

When did you ask them about the different price and how long did it take for them to respond? I asked about it yesterday and haven't heard anything yet.

Yeah, promotion definitely gets started early, and many times assets aren't even complete when promotions start going into effect. If they needed materials and the models weren't complete you would easily see discrepancies like this. It's pretty common in games publishing actually.

Really? Both the battle pods are good. Their Destroids, considering they were only $10 at retail originally, still hold up well as the Nousjadeul-Ger though it is a tad skinny. The Bioriod, Invid Scout and Invid Shock trooper all look good (I know, not Macross), though the two Invid could use more articulation. The only two that weren't great were the non-transforming VF-1 and the only semi-partial transforming Hovertank (also not Macross.). I still have everything they made from that line except for the VF-1, Defender and Spartan.

You know, based on how the leg bay doors work on the VF-4, I'd actually recommend a quick work up for a missile/gunpod attachment on that thing first. Depending on how easy it is to take off the wings it would probably be a pretty quick job to add missile attachments to those too and a fast job all around for you. I bet some people around here would like missile/gunpod equipped VF-4's.

$309, that's cheaper than both of mine! Not quite: "If the YEN price of a pre-order product has been down, you can ask us to update the price of your order with the new price. (or a refund of the difference for preorders already paid). This is valid only before the official release of the product. Caution, orders in others currencies (Euros, USD, CHF, GBP) are updated everyday depending on the Yen rate. The price of your pre-order in one of this currency can not be updated if the price only changed because of the YEN rate. You will have to pay the price indicated in your order. If you want have the last Yen rate, we recommend you to make your order directly in the Yen currency." If you pre-orderd in Yen you're fine. Otherwise you're screwed. Apparently I'm screwed. I guarantee you there will be no super packs for the VF-4...
