  1. I still never started using that term. If you actually parse that sentence I say it isn't just that particular type of stance because it was never my complaint. Everyone still has this idea that they must defend this mode but the fact remains I have three 19's and all of them hardly hold the stance and are no fun to "pose" in that mode at all. Maybe I'm unlucky three times over but I have no problems with any other Yamato or Bandai Valk in Gerwalk except these three 19's.
  2. Somebody on here used them. I didn't.
  3. I never used the word aggressive when talking about how bad the ankles are.
  4. It's not just 'agressive' stances that are the problem. In general it isn't balanced well and you can't even do anything as basic as staggering one leg clicked back farther than the other. There is no dynamicism at all. It's highly static which I have not had problems with any of the other Valks. Plus, based on that pic, if you fold the arms forward it's going to want to face plant. Arms back is ablot more balanced.
  5. I thought part of this movie involved Silver Samurai, Mariko's brother. Unless they're merging the two different comics stories. They were separate events.
  6. I'm not staying up all night. I'll just go to NY and buy one for more money. I went to college so I could make more money so I wouldn't have to worry a bout spending so much time doing things. My time is worth more than money and I'd much rather spend my time sleeping.
  7. I get three of the same type so I can display them in each of the three modes... my sixteen VF-1's don't help that argument though.
  8. My one complaint about the 17 is that giant gap between the forward and aft sections though. I think it needs a sliding panel or something. That's the thing the VF-0/1 have over it. It's balanced and looks like a single piece. Though I hate Yamato's implementation for the hips, it makes Gerwalk gappy because the intake/hips don't attach securely. Also they're solution for the bottom plate that doesn't really do the job holding the back half with the wings up either. You can't really tell from the photos but all of the squad markings on that 17 were individually and fully cut out eat. I even trimmed the insides of the zero and two so there wasn't any excess sticker anywhere. It's kind of a pain in the ass.
  9. Every day I drive past a statue of an F-22 on my way home from work and the more I look at this one the more I appreciate the inspiration Kawamori took from it.
  10. Interesting, we used the exact same VF-0 Markings for our VF-4's. I should really get around to posting pics of my stickered up one. I was so busy looking at the markings I didn't even notice the missiles. LOL Looks pretty good loaded down.
  11. I finally was able to take some pics this past weekend. I wasn't super creative with these angles. I thought it's be fun to do everything up low-vis style and try to keep to several of the standards for markings on the F-117A.
  12. My buddy Kevin came over yesterday and I decided to show him my new Valks. He's always drooled over all of them but still liked the VF-1 best because of it's connection to Robotech (what we both saw first.) His official favorite Battroid mode is now the VF-4. I'd buy him one but.... kind of expensive.
  13. I do think it would have been a better idea if that little swing bar attached to the shoulder slid backwards and forwards so they could have included just a little bit more length on the arms that way they could be slightly more pose-able in Battroid.
  14. The standard versions have been working for my VF-4's.
  15. Yes, it works great. Both of my VF-4's are patrons.
  16. Yup, little (mangled) strip of plastic with teeth.
  17. It's the same darker gray color like all of the internal mechanisms and the hands/feet/etc... are. I'll take a picture when I get home.
  18. I'll bet that hole up in the front for the gunpod to plug into doubles as the spot to plug in the fin. At the very least to transform it you'll have to pull that fin out, swing things around, then plug it back in. It's probably just that plug on a swivel.
  19. I wonder how many of us with more than one VF-4 got a crummy second one? I just had the chance to partially transform my second one last night. The left foot was jammed inside the leg TIGHT. I had to pull pretty hard to get it out and when I did a long thin piece of plastic came with it. The leg still functions, and it's still tight as all get out, but that strip of plastic that came with it makes me nervous.
  20. It's a tough call. I think the S's head looks way more bad-ass but I'm not a fan of yellow so I like the look of the stripes on the D a lot more. If you're thinking unique head the S sure does look like a brute in Battroid though.
  21. Wow Junkie, that almost makes me like the DYRL version better than the SDFM version. It must have been nuts getting it to look that good but now you can live in comfort knowing you've pretty much got the definitive 1/3000 SDF-1 on the planet.
  22. Which blue strips are you referring to?
  23. I'd take one of those green VF-17's and a maintenance VF-1 if Yamato made them. They will have to get creative with that welders mask chest plate though, i.e. part-swapping likely.
  24. I doubt the transformation would have to change one bit in order for the RVF to transform.
