Look at that very last pic. See how far forward on the toes the 19P is. That's what I mean by tenuous. It's VERY easy to knock it forward. By contrast that YF-19 has it's feet tucked under enough that it can stand comfortably. If you click the calfs forward and crank your ankles all the way back you CAN make your 19F/S/P look like the YF-19, but the ankles will forever be loose like on my 19S.

So what I'm gathering is there are a lot of people coming out of the woodwork who are envious others here make more money then they do and are blaming Yamato for catering to the "elite." If you're going to take that route I'll say maybe should have payed attention during school/got some decent scholarships and got a real, useable degree so you could afford this stuff? I wasn't born rich, and certainly can't hold a flame to Kicker's collection, but I do alright, have multiples of many Valks and in no way feel like Kicker is some sort of elitist-douche among us... he's quite lovely really.

You don't have twelve more to fidget with if you lose that one? ;0)

Nobody ever said an aggressive stance would ruin the ankles. What I insist is that the ankles suck and that Gerwalk is at best tenuous. Also we're in agreement, better/deeper intake/thigh extension, stiffer ratchets and better ankle joints. That's exactly the problem with this Gerwalk.

Maybe part of the "egg carton" isn't blocked on the bottom of the craft and the missiles are fired from the lower aft ports when stowed?

Preparation. That means either/or new things they're working on aren't at a point they can show anything or license transferal takes time.

Renato is right. In order to get that neutral stance with the 19's ankles you pretty much have to jam them back to the point where you've damaged them.

I wonder if people aren't quite attaching their legs right in Fighter mode? I clearly have taken photos of the fighter on the Launch Arm Stand, which does nothing to support the legs at all, and they don't droop and the packs don't fall out at all. Unless I've just got lucky. I know when my D came in the package it wasn't quite transformed correct and the legs didn't feel like they would attache all the way but I transformed it once and then back again and it's been stable since. You have to be absolutely sure the legs are rotated correct at the thigh. If it's off by a small hair it will feel like it's snapped into place but won't actually be. The legs on my D definitely stay put.

Why would they "reissue" the V2 VF-1's? It's the same owner of the company as Yamato and they already reissued 30th anniversary VF-1's, lots of varieties, as Yamato this past year that have sold out most places. They're already aware of how they sell.
-
To be honest I don't think the YF-19 is a good deal at $280. The engineering on it so bad. It feels like an antique compared to even the V2 VF-1's.

Hmm, I've never held the 17 in a position where the legs were to droop down but it was on a yamato stand in fighter and I never had any issues with the legs drooping in the back. Are you sure you have the legs locked in place correct? It can be a little finicky.

It really doesn't make sense that they wouldn't renew it. The 30th Anniversary VF-1's are selling out pretty fast and those molds were paid for a long time ago. Hell, slow sales of the the 17 and 19 might not affect them at all because of how the VF-1's sell. Plus they know the VF-4 is pretty popular so it wouldn't make sense to stop using that mold either.

It's interesting. They don't lock in but once I got the bits in the legs adjusted properly they've stayed up without slipping once since it arrived the beginning of January.

It's just bummer so many of you guys did wind up with VF-4's with missing parts. Are they all different missing parts too?

I'm thinking about buying another Elintseeker for myself and getting a VF-17S for my girlfriend's son just to help out (if there is such a thing.) Do we know if these guys are huge fans of obscure Valks and SDFM styled SDF-1's?
-
I've never liked this head but based on the pics you've posted so far I'm leaning towards having a 4G and a 4Ku here as well.
-
It's kind of a friction thing really. If you adjust the bits that insert into the legs correct those tabs will fit into the wings and stay. But they do not lock into the wings, which I think is a mistake.

Any more pics with it painted and finished up now Kurisama? You almost have me a believer.

I don't know guys. If the founders of the company were Macross fans and they were nerdy enough to name their company after a sci-fi anime ship they liked, renaming their company after another ship from a nerdy sci-fi anime ship they like probably doesn't mean they're going to change tactics away from things like Macross.
-
Yup, they're the reason why I'm here to. Got tired of my crappy Toynami Max 1J and decided to start searching for Japanese made Macross toys. Ran across this website talking about the V2 VF-1's right after they were first produced, did my research and bought one. I've been here following their releases ever since.

Bandai making another tiny VF-1 shows no signs of them picking up any sort of slack.
-
I would tint the canopies myself if I could.
-
So when is the next show/event Bandai will show off their goods? I'm hoping to see more photos of this thing in a more complete state or get some new info. I keep liking all three modes the more I look at it. Also, since it's pretty much a new mold design hopefully this means Bandai will milk it with some variant colors, possibly schemes from the game we aren't privy to yet. It's too much to hope but I think with the way it transforms it could REALLY shine with a real life scheme in all three modes (it'll never happen without mods, I know.)

I never have been a fan of that head, even still that fin in fighter kinda bothers me. That being said, you've come the closest anybody ever could to making me a convert. I'm torn over wanting one or not.
