  1. What's wrong with where the backpack is now?
  2. I agree, I think the shoulder transformation on the Hi-Metal is superior as are the hips. Otherwise, I know some people want the head positioned lower but I find I prefer the look of the V2's being higher up.
  3. While I do own quite a bit I usually buy by what I think looks cool. For instance, I don't own a Kakizaki SDFM VF-1A because I won't care for his colors. On the other other hand I'm a HUGE fan of Max so I have is SDFM 1A and 1J, DYRL 1A and 1S and his 22. I don't have anything from Mac Plus, unless you include the Double Nuts YF-19 because it's the only color scheme I like.
  4. Would you like a Yamato FB2012 VF-4 now? How about a renewal VF-0? Or a renewal YF-19? Because you're not getting any of those at any price anymore.
  5. I do think it's amusing that so many people bitched and moaned about how expensive every little Yamato item was and now that the source has been cut off they're panicking and buying up everything. That's the epitome of looking a gift horse in the mouth.
  6. I'd better find some more Super Packs and get a third VF-17 so I can keep one in each mode. I figured there would be a chance for a Milia/Ray/Teal version I could get as a third option but that's probably not happening at all now.
  7. I wish I had a local shop selling these still.
  8. As far as I recall the armor never contained or fired missiles during the entirety of the Mac F. show. Artdink has been taking liberties as far as I can tell, though it would make sense considering the VF-25 Chest armor does open.
  9. Or, rather, I have tried to take them off but the back pack versions are on REALLY tight and I haven't been able to successfully remove them. The leg parts don't damage anything at all however.
  10. I just realized, does this thing have cannons built into its forearms as well?
  11. Good question. I actually haven't tried to remove my super parts since I put them on.
  12. Brave man disassembling that thing. I really like how you marked it up. Please take many, many close ups once it's reassembled so we can get an idea what it looks like up close.
  13. Well, obviously it's complex. He was talking about it being like a thousand dollars on Shapeways, or something like that. If this is better it could be higher quality at the same price or maybe $500 or $600.
  14. To be honest I don't feel like there's any need to put stickers on the P.
  15. Take it out of his allowance.
  16. I don't even have the boxes for my Valks I could use for moving. I'm kind of stuck where I am I guess.
  17. Impressive patience. I would have been flying the thing around in fighter mode at the very least right now.
  18. That's about the only option for a "TV" version of the SDF-1, my problem with that is the lines on it are all wrong. Even with the correct colors it isn't shaped like the SDFM version.
  19. If Bandai were willing to foot the bill for an update of the original Macross that looked like the Pachinko machine I might be okay with them having the license for the VF-1 again...
  20. Would this also make JasonC's VA-3 project economically viable too?
  21. The one thing I would recommend you watch out for with the Cavalier to watch out for is when transforming back from Battroid to Fighter/Gerwalk. Make sure that nose cone is pushed down all the way (I'd just recommend removing it) before reattaching the fuselage. On my 1S Low Vis I didn't quite have the nose all the way down and tried to force it and stressed the plastic at the edges. In reality you don't want to do that on any of them but that dark plastic really shows the stress marks.
  22. It must be doubly worse for you. I've already got a sizable collection (complaining about getting a third VF-17 and all.)
  23. I will say that after all of this Yamato/Arcadia stuff it is pretty sad to flip around through the different online stores and 1) realize this might be it for these products and 2) see just how quickly they are selling out/prices are rising. Replacing anything that might get broken will suddenly be hugely expensive if not impossible to find. I was hoping down the line to get a third VF-17. It looks like I might have to dump a heap of cash now just to buy up another VF-17D now just in case I never see one again.
  24. It shares some similarities but I don't believe it looks the same. I much prefer the look of this Battroid to the 25/29 series.
  25. I would say that the transformation for the shoulders and the poseability for the hips of the Hi-Metla VF-1 were done very well. The fact it's highly pose-able in Battroid is also pretty good. Gerwalk and Fighter are both terrible in look though.
