Well, it's an interesting experiment and it definitely improves the angle/look of fighter in regards to the nose section however I don't feel it addresses the gullet itself. It's still a cool mod.

Wow, that VF-4 looks like an m-effing bruiser. You have officially sold me on this head design. Really amazing custom paint job and markings too. Are those Scorpion's water slide decals? Kurisama did say the head seemed smaller and looking at the pics it seems like both are a little bit smaller than the original... that could be a perception thing and not actually the case however. Really, I can't stop looking at this thing. TAKE MORE PICTURES! Seriously, I think this is the definitive scheme for the VF-4. Better than the FB2012 scheme even. Also, how does the paint hold up during transformation?

To be honest I wasn't in any hurry to get my last shipment a few weeks back so I paid less for shipping and LAX processed everything in less than a day. They're truly completely random.

Are you talking about the truck or the 19P, because I'd find it hard to believe they sell things like the 19P anywhere in Tucson.

The Wolverine FILMS (X-Men Universe)

I guess i don't find the concept of them taking away his healing factor all that interesting. -
The point is that Tony Starks obsession overtakes him. He's the type to work harder when he's stressed and he see's so many variable possibilities that he starts constructing ridiculous amounts of suits to cover every avenue. It's kind of like a replacement for his alcoholism in the comics. Severe OCD neurosis.

People argue with me all the time but I maintain it is the best. It lost a lot of fans though.- 1020 replies

Weren't you just talking about great action, character development and stories that build? DS9 had all of that. His log entry there was brilliant and subtle. It's a man convincing himself he did the right thing when he knows he was wrong. Why do you think he keeps repeating he can live with it? He's trying to convince himself of the lie. It's hidden by the log entry thing at the end but it's really a one-man play, Shakespearean in delivery even. It really seems like you're looking for a reason to hate DS9 even though it embraced everything you claim you want in a story simply because it doesn't maintain that "ideal' Star Trek image which is boring to maintain to pretty much every writer out there. Really, if you take that whole show into account. If Sisko had embraced his image of being the Emissary in the VERY FIRST episode he could have prevented the whole thing. Every single death. He chose not to, went against all Federation beliefs and only in the end did he finally learn to embrace who he was and save The Federation. That's Tragedy there my friend. I think the movie was okay. I think he took it too far into Star War territory where it didn't need to be and still could have been an excellent movie. Then again, you're a fan of Battlestar... how many more of those shows are getting greenlit because they pull in huge numbers of viewers? Not to mention that they had pissed off half of their own fanbase by the third season and completely lost them by season four.- 1020 replies

What you've just described sounds exactly like the VF-0's and to a lesser extent my YF-19.

HKC took a week before shipping the two Valks I ordered last month. Don't panic yet, they take their time.

So that's a "The First" inspired scheme huh?

If Star Trek to you is cool characters and adventures you must not have been watching the same DS9 as me because they had some VERY memorable stories/characters. While that's true, JJ's version does lack most of the heart of the originals regardless of how popular the spectacle is. There's a chance they will get better. The captains lecture to Kirk about his Dad in the first movie was actually a pretty good start to that. We'll see if they continue. Certainly Gene's vision for TNG wasn't great and it improved after his death, there were still kernels of his ideas there.- 1020 replies

I tend to be out of leftfield in this thread a lot of times but the producer . Scott Hardkiss, just passed away yesterday at the age of 43 and he was pretty influential to me when I was a teenager.

That's really cool looking. Do you have pics in the other two modes as well?

I kind of want to special make those Fast Packs of yours sketchley. I know they're redundant given how the VF-4's engines already function but I think it's a great idea how you implemented them.

I'm wondering if the RVF parts are going to be Tamashii exclusives instead of being a separate release. As long as the attachment points are already there the actual 171 is identical.

It's not a concept, it's just the only shelf I have. Yes, it gets ridiculously dusty (especially in New Mexico during the windy Spring Time.) I have to go over everything with cotton swabs in some cases every few months.

Thanks, it's still sloppy. There's some stuff crammed in the back of the top shelf you can't really see. When I started introducing stands is when things started to get really crowded/awkward.

Compared to many others it doesn't seem very large but there really aren't too many 1/60 Yamato Valks I'm missing anymore. Four 1F's, one 11B, Three YF-19's, a 21 and 22 and the Fire Valk are it really. In the case of disaster, they burn. They're nice and all but not worth killing myself over. The only real risk around here is a fire and maybe a minor chance of tornado's, flooding or earthquake (there's a chance of one of those anywhere though.)

I still can't help but feel this is a gift horse in the mouth type situation.

I'm liking the armor mash-ups here.

That would interfere with the cockpit removal gimmick however.

That's a minor gripe in Fighter mode IMO, I really don't see how it's all that far off in Battroid personally. With Yamato's fancier approaches to things on their latest toys I'd imagine they would have had a far easier time making the VF-1 closer to perfect now, however. I'm not sure there's any possible way to make the heat shield attach anyplace else
