    Honestly, the CF 171 is a good bet if he can find one (since this topic was about Frontier Valks even though we went off the deep end about the other series toys.) The transformation can be a bit of a pain, closing that chest piece going back to Gerwalk/Fighter is troublesome for me personally, but overall it isn't that bad and it poses/looks great in all three modes plus it has armor expansions and is a unique color/shape.

    I'm pretty sure I've seen them in the show that way too but I can't quote a specific show really since I only just flip through them because I can't stand to sit and watch them.

    I think that's a trick of lighting. All of the scene's with them parked in the hangars they're definitely a sandy color. In the second movie leading up to the scene where Ozma beats up Alto in the hanger next to the YF-29 they pan downward and there's a bunch of CF 25's that are all Tan/Brown. That guy at the website makes a good point though. They made a CF 27 (though there were less options to re-use that mold) and now there's a CF 171 as well (once again, less options.) Maybe Bandai will eventually get around to a CF 25 at some point?

    None of my Valks from HKCollectibles seems any different in any way from the Valks I've received from Japan. I think that's just psychological perception nonsense, unless it's well and truly a knock-off piece.

    While Milia's 1J appeared in the show there's never been a toy produced that looked exactly like that scheme as it was painted slightly different, plus pretending the SDFM one is also the M7 one wouldn't work because it's next to impossible finding that particular toy these days. That goes for the 11C as well, impossible to find these days except at +500% mark up. Off topic, but since it's Grahams favorite toy/Valk I thought I'd ask can you actually transform the VF-17 so that the chest piece sits flush against the cockpit in fighter? I've tried everything and there's always a bit of a gap and the chest piece is slightly raised.

    What was the reason for the canopy to be coated in Fold Quartz? Though I am of the same mind as xrentonx that it is a bit of a silly magical rock.

    If he were to get a MacPlus Valk the only one I would recommend is the 11B. That one holds up the best. The YF-19 is a floppy mess and the 21 is okay but the knee joints are frustrating to pose and it's hard to transform for a lot of people. The 11B is the only one of the three that is decent for posing/transforming/not randomly breaking/and still available at this point.

    I'd go further, I think the direction/pacing/editing/etc... of DYRL is absolutely terrible. I went back to try to watch it again a few weeks ago. It's not done well. And then anything past that is already trapped in anime trope, which I don't care for, and I feel ruins almost 99% of concept/story/etc... the Japanese come up with.

    You seriously need to stop. You come off, at best, as being a negative whiny idiot. You said, "Doesn't look like Superman to me. Looks like superman with Iron Man armor parts." You can go back and try to re-write/interpret/whatever-the-frakk-you-want those lines but we all know what you typed. Maybe you didn't mean it, but you seem to have a hard time expressing yourself in any sort of coherent or decent manner. You don't like his armor, fine. It doesn't look like Iron Man. None of the pictures you posted look like Iron Man. Other versions of the comics have shown Zod as wearing armor. For the Silver screen they adjusted Superman's suit so it doesn't look so god-damned silly. He's not wearing Red underwear so they added that bit to give him something to the suit so it doesn't look boring. If you don't care for the design, cool. You don't care for it. Don't back-peddle after saying stupid things and don't pretend we all must share your vision for General Zod wearing his Medieval Tutu like in the original comics.

    This might blow every bodies mind on here but I actually don't like any of the Macross shows anymore. Not the original, nothing. I like the Valk designs and that's about it these days.

    I'm with Duke Togo, i see nothing that remotely resembles Iron Man armor on Superman. Blue, red, a cape and a giant S on his chest... looks like Superman to me.

    The District 9 argument isn't valid though. That was an entirely new property (yeah, based on a short film that was highly praised.) I was fully aware there was a Guardians of the Galaxy comic. I'd just never heard anybody who was into comics mention needing to read it or that they enjoyed it. That's why I was puzzled. It's good to her positive things about it though, as I hadn't heard anything at all.

    I understand, but he already thinks the RVF-25 looks cool. Why should he care what the character was in the show if he already likes the design? He's not going to be hanging out with Luca ever but that cool looking Green Plane with the Radar dish can sit on his shelf for years.

    Why would watching the anime give him a better idea? I haven't been able to finish an episode of Mac7 or Frontier and I know which I want to own based purely on how the toys look.

    There's that ham-fisted, "I think you're the greatness, Kirk", stuff. Not much of a good look at the new ship. So far it's a love/hate sort of thing. "I'm sorry" pretty much sums up the saying "hell is truth realized too late."

    I think the Ozma scheme would sell better than the rest. Looking at those screen shots I kinda wish somebody who had the game could post photos of all the Valks/Schemes/Modes from the game for those of us who don't own it and/or won't purchase Sony products.

    Wow, I didn't think the 19P even needed decals but that's a nice, subtle job you've done there. The only thing I'd recommend is trying to trim some of the larger stickers a little more intricately, such as the giant UN Spacy decals. It's a bit of a pain but it's relatively easy to completely trim out each letter so there aren't any visible sticker edges. But that's just me, I'm very picky about how my decals look. Also, that head on shot. God does that Basara pilot look awful. It looks like it's being piloted by a Muppet.
