Guardians of the Galaxy, on DVD/Blu-Ray December 9, 2014
Mommar replied to azrael's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I still don't understand why they've decided to make this movie. I simply can't see how it's any good. Certainly during my entire tenure reading Marvel comics I never had a run-in with a single one of these characters nor do I understand why they would be interesting to watch or include in some Marvel Team Up movie.- 344 replies

Actually, love has very little to do with sexual attraction so it's perfectly possible that if Basara is protective of Mylene it means he loves her, thus a love triangle would still be there it just would have to do with the romantic kind.

Fun to watch, sad to see that guy was playing a Backstreet Boys track though. LOL

Where was the stress mark?

Wow, how did you even manage to track it down?

Pics of the fleet? "From the news?" Unless the distributors know something and told Angolz directly we've already been told that no news is potentially good news in this case.

Wow, those plain 17D's seem to be totally out now. I hope I managed to secure that one at HobbySearch the end of last week.

I bought one of these from HKCollectables right after you posted the question. It was high time I completed my Max Collection.

Star Trek Into Darkness, in theaters May 17, 2013
Mommar replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
You brought up Star Wars several times so I went with, and I never attacked it (I like Star Wars), I just pointed out that in terms of inspiration people in Science and Engineering fields have never been influenced by Star Wars but they have continually stated within the offices I work and at conventions to the actors themselves that they have been by Star Trek which says something very strong, lasting and relevant about that franchise. Your reading comprehension is very low. You obviously in every which way dislike the original Trek as you've never said anything positive about it and LOVE Abrams as you can't seem to say anything bad about him or the new Trek at all. Consider that since your last post numerous people have mentioned about many shows/movies/etc... that directly contradict your comments on and support the notion Star Trek has dealt with the human condition. But you ignore that and hold your line that Star Trek was just bad in some sort of nebulous, obviously uninformed way. You're unable to have a real discussion.- 1020 replies

I just checked now, pre-order is still available... whether there will actually be stock is another thing completely.

Interesting how you didn't responded to what you quoted there. But I'll bite. Star Trek absolutely dealt with the human condition you're just choosing to ignore it because you have an obvious axe to grind.- 1020 replies

The thing is that even as you have them now the stickers really stand out to me. I've gone as far as carving the bit of sticker inside the zero's and the curved spaces inside the S'es (which is a colossal bitch) so that they don't show. On the other matte Valks (well, not the really dark one's like the Vf-17) I can get away with not doing that but it all REALLY stands out on the 19's.

I feel like a lot of people want to hate on these designs because they aren't specifically made bytheir favorite anime mech designer. I'll admit Gipsy Danger or the Chinese one don't look that great but I believe the other three are really cool looking. Actually, I find that monstrous Russian design quite awesome. There's an obvious homage to a nuclear reactor going on with that head piece and it's also a frightening, menacing hell of a top-hat. It looks like a brute and I love it.

I was more selective with what stickers I would apply to my 19's (S and F anyway, I won't bother with the P.) Anything with White looked pretty good. Some of the Red stickers are okay. Black looks terrible and always stands out no matter what type of sticker I've attempted to put on.

Star Wars never inspired generations of scientists and engineers like Star Trek did. So in terms of relevance it's quite possible that while the new Star Trek is now "popular" that doesn't mean it will have any significance, thus relevance, beyond making some money. Star Wars never did this to begin with. So it's only relevancy is that people still like Boba Fett for no damned good reason. Nobody complained he didn't make a Voyager movie because most fans don't want a Voyager movie, they want a good movie. And in that sense, they want something they can watch, be entertained and be inspired by several times over. Abrams Trek is, at best, entertaining one or two times, but it is not inspiring. We need more people dressing up in Star Fleet officer uniforms, they are the one's looking to enrich our lives via science and diversity.- 1020 replies

The Gunpod does partially collapse, however it still doesn't sit flush. That's an engineering error if you as me. Also, the gloss finish makes getting decals right even more of a bitch. They're more likely to slide around, and if you haven't quite trimmed them right it REALLY shows up.
