That was the same sort of rigging I was thinking would always work for the 11 as well. It has the added benefit of working in all three modes too.

Actually, that's the part that is the hardest and most frustrating. I have three now. Still, I have to make sure each one is without flaws first. We've seen some missing pieces on these new one's. If I do ever decide to rotate which 171 is in which mode I would like to be sure they're all complete.

I did forget just how much of a colossal bitch it is going from Battroid back to Gerwalk on this thing. It holds together better/more flush than Yammie's 17, but dammit, that Yammie can be transformed in a minute compared to this damn 171 too.

The hips on both of my Alto's lock just fine with the gear doors attached. Are you sure you've transformed it correctly?

My 171 arrived yesterday as well. The firs thing I noticed was that the entire body of it seemed scuffed. There's little scratches all over it. The surface isn't rough, so it's not like it's gouged, but it doesn't seem like any of it was in very good condition either. I'd have almost assumed it was a used toy by the way the surface appeared. The shoulders were obviously not transformed properly at the factory as they were not sitting flush in fighter node and were bent upward. I had to fix that myself.

The more I look at it the more I like it. It reminds me of a race type plane that would have lots of sponsors logos, etc... on it.

Why are people not calling this a renewal? Everything on it is different between the side-to-side pics. Even the nose of the plane is different sized between the two. I still think it's Battroid mode looks wrong for some reason, but then I've never been a fan of the 27 ever so that doesn't matter to me.

I've sat here with one of my V2's and compared this thing and the second picture posted on the first page. The first image is definitely not shaped the same as the second. The swoop beneath the cockpit is nearly as dramatic on the first pic (and is almost exactly like the V2.) That part I especially noticed as Dan Bickel had a huge explanation with various photos comparing the difference between the Hase V1 and V2 models and the Yamato V2... they're obviously different. The first pic looks like Yammie V2, the second looks like Hase V2. Likewise, the shape of the back of the fuselage to the cockpit is shaped different, there's far more of a bubble in the first image and shaped remarkably close to the V2. The second image is more streamlined in that regard. Also, of every single panel line I can make out in the image the V2 has precisely in the same spot. If it's not a V2 it's remarkably close.

Nope, I want to talk about the cool new pictures of the YF-30 that I'm imagining have been released. And they're in a cool Max VF-1J scheme too for some reason.

In his defense it's a hell of a lot easier to speak Japanese then it is to read it. That was what I experienced anyway.
