They've added even more stretch goals. Now they have what they term "experimental Battloids" which are the VF-1/Orguss joke machines.

They always make the argument it's "too expensive" but I don't buy that argument. If only for the fact it's fricking Star Wars. Just make it good and you WILL have constant revenue.

I think every actor has played Bond in their own way and they all have some merit and some down sides. I honestly don't dislike any of the Bonds. Dalton seems to take the most flak these days. He was definitely more sardonic then the rest.

Star Trek Into Darkness, in theaters May 17, 2013

I would like to point out that instead of taking the black & white approach that The Federation is all wrong and the terrorists are good, or vice versa, they point out that any extreme action on either side will result in the same horrible, unjustifiable consequences. It seems to me that both of them were the "big bad." Because one was taken out before the other, by the other, doesn't mean they weren't both a problem. Especially considering the object they were to use to achieve their goals were identical.- 1020 replies

And I am curious exactly what the YF-4 Guardian and Battloid modes are supposed to look like.

Why make it animated? It's the perfect concept for a live action television series.

I finally was able to see this yesterday. It had the potential to be the best movie except it aped the current best one in all the wrong ways IMO and was the victim of being rushed in spots.- 1020 replies

That's a surprise, I had heard otherwise. I'll need to go back and see if I can find that article I wrote about it... unless there's some some twist to the story that allows both him and another to voice Batman.

Why is everybody who is a fan of the original series crotchety and/or old? I'm 32, I'm neither of those things.- 1020 replies

I agree, I LOVE the way the old tinted canopies look. I'm highly disappointed the later releases don't look like the earlier one's. The Cav's Valk would look so much better with the rainbow canopy. I'm serious. Maybe they could all stay the same and just be upgraded versions like the V2's had the modified crotch lock later. But everything I mentioned could use some upgrades/modifications from where they're at right now.

They already announced Kevin Conroy is not doing Batman's voice in this game. Batman is significantly younger in this one and they want somebody who sounds younger to play him this time. I don't understand what you think sucks about the 3ds/vita game exactly?

With the newer engineering techniques Yamato/Arcadia (it's all Mr. K) has already employed I'm pretty sure they could further make the VF-1 better. It wouldn't offend me if they released a V.3. I may or may not buy as many... depends. Do we need a V2 VF-19.... we need a a V2 YF-19. I would argue they need to fix the ankles at the very least on the VF-19 though. There's plenty that could be fixed on a VF-17 V2 as well, honestly. maybe even a VF-4 V2, the arms/shoulders could use more dynamic movement.

Well, if anything they've got style and spectacle down for this movie.

The description for this movie sounds like we'll get some pretty good Star Wars movies out of JJ though, with better characterization than George Lucas could ever hope to achieve... and we'll even get a second Empire Strikes Back, scene for scene, except they'll freeze Luke instead.- 1020 replies

"They even managed to inject some of the moral arguing and philosophical pondering that old Trek was known for without it feeling forced or tonally out of place." This right here is what I wanted to hear. At least they got that part right. Regarding your spoilers, why frakking bother when they have EVERYTHING else in place? Like you said, maddening to the old fans and confusing to the new. Just a bad idea all around.- 1020 replies

Other than some unofficial packs one of our members (sketchley) designed and a rough idea Kawamori had that turned into the Fast Packs for the VF-25 the VF-4 has no Fast packs and I guarantee there won't be any made for it.

Actually, the real life story of that sniper duel Enemy At The Gates was based on is far more interesting and suspenseful.

Seeing everyone buy multiple sets on this forum means it's popular on this forum. The fact it's so widely available people can keep doing this is not a sign it's popular elsewhere.
