    Consider this. A serviceman receives a new game in the mail. They can't get online to register it after installing so they can't play it. The game is rendered useless even with the occasional dial in requirement. This can easily be dialed back to any number of highly inconvenient cases for any of us who do have internet more often than not. Sure, this same issue exists with Steam users so it isn't much different, but a dedicated console has never locked you down in that fashion before.

    Backwards compatibility? Hoping it doesn't have required Kinect? The show stopper is having to register your games online and having to connect once every 24 hours (FU servicemen and anybody in a rural area!) The coolest bit about the One is how impressive the new Kinect is in every way possible.

    So what about the one Jaeger that has three pilots? Three lobes? It obviously serves plot, but at least it's original (as far as I'm aware) for a Mech story.

    Eh, spoilers really mean nothing to me as no matter how I imagine something going down it's always going to look and feel different when I actually see it play out on screen. So seeing even glimpses of story in a trailer won't ruin the experience for me. Or is it hasn't yet.

    It's a stupid movie but it's paced, shot and acted well enough to be enjoyable and even good.

    Well, that does a good job summing up why it's a bad movie.

    Fascinating. We will be getting YF-4 (VF-X-4) miniatures. That's pretty cool in and of itself, that's the first I've ever heard of that being made anywhere. Whatever form of Guardian and Battroid they take the fighter mode is at least a small part of Macross proper that's never been produced before.

    They've added even more stretch goals. Now they have what they term "experimental Battloids" which are the VF-1/Orguss joke machines.

    They always make the argument it's "too expensive" but I don't buy that argument. If only for the fact it's fricking Star Wars. Just make it good and you WILL have constant revenue.

    I think every actor has played Bond in their own way and they all have some merit and some down sides. I honestly don't dislike any of the Bonds. Dalton seems to take the most flak these days. He was definitely more sardonic then the rest.

    I would like to point out that instead of taking the black & white approach that The Federation is all wrong and the terrorists are good, or vice versa, they point out that any extreme action on either side will result in the same horrible, unjustifiable consequences. It seems to me that both of them were the "big bad." Because one was taken out before the other, by the other, doesn't mean they weren't both a problem. Especially considering the object they were to use to achieve their goals were identical.

    And I am curious exactly what the YF-4 Guardian and Battloid modes are supposed to look like.

    Why make it animated? It's the perfect concept for a live action television series.

    I finally was able to see this yesterday. It had the potential to be the best movie except it aped the current best one in all the wrong ways IMO and was the victim of being rushed in spots.

    That's a surprise, I had heard otherwise. I'll need to go back and see if I can find that article I wrote about it... unless there's some some twist to the story that allows both him and another to voice Batman.

    Why is everybody who is a fan of the original series crotchety and/or old? I'm 32, I'm neither of those things.
