Unless they're actually going to sell one separate the only problem with that is the Fold Boosters of old are all Yamato branded and I've never owned one because I could never find a set of Fast packs/Fold Booster that were a reasonable price.

Bandai's stand is a useless piece of black plastic that let's you pose your Valk in exactly one fixed pose. This new one actually adjusts at several different spots. It's silly to keep harping on Arcadia for including a stand. They're not going to just duke one to you for free.
-
I love this. All you hear is "Bandai includes a stand. How come Yamato never includes a stand." For the same price as a Bandai Valk Arcadia is including a stand. Now all we hear is, "why the frakk do we want a stand???"

$300, like we've all been saying since we knew about the YF-19.

Hmm, I don't remember the pilot moving into the head in the Robotech Books. Don't make me have to go back and read them to verify.

Mr. K said they're going to release all variants again?

I know it's not an official source but they had a side-by-side shot of the QF-2000 next to a QF-3000 in the VF-0 book. The 3000 was already bigger than the 2000. I'd think the X-9 would be just as big if not bigger than the 3000. Also, why didn't they include that stand with the 30th Anniversary version instead of the little, bent plastic one?

It also shows the SDFM SDF-1, should we assume they're making one of those too?
-
The pic with the stand looks especially shopped.

FYI, when that turret pops up aerodynamics goes out the window too.

That's four of us.

Yeah, I do like the Icarus as well. The Metal Siren's Battroid looks cool but I don't care for the other two modes.

That Ozma version is a custom model kit.

Fair enough, what I mean is more prevalent.

This is really quite insane. I think since I've been around this is the worst QC issue I've seen on a macross product. Even worse than the VF-1 v.2 shoulder issues.

That's probably the easiest way to do it.

With all the extra accessories they're talking about, expect VF-4 level price.

I'm just hoping they don't wind up with some sort of weird hinge compromise in the wing root in order to pull off High Speed mode. The last thing we need is something getting gouged/cracked/etc...
-
Is it a wonderfest limited item maybe?

Interesting they're looking at fixed pieces like this, especially the Zentradi versions. The DYRL version is definitely more interesting looking than the SDFM version so I can see why they chose it. I wonder if they have plans for other fixed posed capitol ships on both sides? This is probably to test the waters. I still have my Exo Squad Regult and Glaug this thing would look good sitting next to.

It's a good photo. Maybe use a tad bit of processing to make the panels appear a little more reflective. Unfortunately there's no way to cover up that giant hinge Yamato put on the neck.
-
With that array of weapons, if there's a way to attach a fold booster (or two... getting speculatively greedy now) we really could deck this thing out like in some of the Master File photos.

As an add-on for Battroid that looks cool but I cannot see how they could ever make it work in fighter on a transforming toy. There's no room back there to fit it. The more I look at the lineart for the 19's Gerwalk the more I'm convinced the best way too keep it from being both front heavy and looking more like the lineart would be to actually have the intakes slide forward towards the cockpit. Obviously it's a drawing so perspective is skewed but the neck looks slightly shortened between the two modes. If it slid back a little that would move the center of gravity to almost the middle of the plane. I always thought, especially of the new VF-19 toys, that it seems like the neck is just too long. Actually implementing that... that's another story. Probably harder than my comment on the forearm cannons would be.

Fighter and Gerwalk look awesome... Battroid does not.

Sounds to me like he's only pretending he doesn't want it to be there. He sure seems to keep on finding it!
