I think in terms of showing off the toys it all looks really cool and it's interesting. But in an attempt to make it look "real" there will need to be some additional things.
I think the second SDF-1 shot makes the most sense (it looks a lot like a scene from the movie really) because you have those bits of glow in the dark on it. It's the least "flat" looking because while it's dim there's some realistic bits that are glowing. It would be better with some glow from engines though. The other two pictures came out good but because there's absolutely no other lighting coming from them they just look dim and flat.
For those of you who want it hopefully it happens. i can't imagine it would cost much more to include a little fig like that. For me personally it doesn't matter, then again I don't care who the pilot is. I make it all up myself (I guess Carl Macek would be proud lol).
Except in the original Television series the tips were red and (the one place you see them in Plus) This is Animation book the tips are colored red. The red tip makes them look more menacing to me.
It looks like they based all of their colors off of the This is Animation books... except for the yellow tips on the Reaction Warheads. I'm not sure why they always favor yellow.
From what I've been reading this is actually the teaser trailer originally shown at SDCC in 2012 so it's very likely they've changed how Godzilla looks by now (if that rumor is true.)
I'm surprised Bat uses a zoom lens of any kind. His pics are so clear I always assumed he had a fixed length.
In other news, I've been pouring over various pics and I'm beginning to think they did actually change the way the ankles work compared to the VF-19 series. It looks like it might be a bit more like the VF-4 in terms of ankles. If that's the case I'll be ecstatic.
I'm also wondering how the leg packs attach. Hopefully it won't be too fiddly to get into fighter with all of that on.
In addition to the camera type, you also want to consider what lens he may have been using. They make a big difference. It's likely if his camera is 100 times more expensive then yours, the lens could be 200+ times more expensive.
I specifically have a beat up V.2 1J and 1S I keep around in case my nephew ever wants to play with any of my Valks. The rest are "don't touch" but he's usually pretty happy with just the 1J and 1S. My ex-girlfriend's son too, though he REALLY wanted to play with my 17's.
I find it interesting that so many web shops are limiting sales to just one. I thought this was going to be made-to-order. Unless they're really worried about someone ordering ten then cancelling all of them it's a little odd (then limit to three or something.)
