They didn't really skirt it, they just didn't answer directly. They bought all the "new molds." Obviously they have the VF-1 so anything at that point and after is "new" I would assume. It begs the question if a VF-11 is also included in that equation, or possibly the 21/22? But I think it's pretty clear the VF-4 is in that category, it was their very last release (thus newest) mold. Really, they're being smart. If they say, "yes, we have the VF-4 mold", the internet will turn into "Arcadia is making a new VF-4!" because people are stupid like that. That lineart for Battroid makes me laugh. Unless there's some fancy folding scheme we're not aware of those Delta wings are going to look like a cape hanging down to the D's knees in the back.

So what are you willing to pay for Arcadia YF-19?

I'm expecting 30,000+ Yen. If it's less I'm considering it gravy. -
It's better. The all brown head isn't doing it for me still, though.

I've not seen that before but it's fricking hilarious. Good thing Malcolm Tucker is only a fictional character and the person who played him is The Doctor then...

For story-telling purposes...

I would like to see this thing all finished up. It looks like you've got a very good handle on texturing as well as modelling.

I'm not sure it's an improvement but the back story behind this guy is he kept the CF color but is a commanding officer so there should still be yellow striping on it too. I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be an improvement. I like the idea of the bit right beneath the collar being white.

Wouldn't it make more sense to not say anything then? You've already been wrong once.

I'm assuming that 22 can't transform anymore.

how are you taking them off that joint?

As has been stated before the YF-19 was never shown exiting from the top of Battroid like the VF-19. There's no guarantee that gimmick will even be implemented.

Unremarkable was a nice way of saying bad.

Whoever it is, hopefully they're good. I've been able to appreciate each of the three new Doctors since Eccleston and I hope they can keep the streak up.

So Chthonic, you've pretty much have one of every Valk now. What are you going to do with all of these models and when can we see some more closeups or different shots?

I would call an S head completely brown unremarkable, personally.

I've been saying that 17S is bad-ass since it came out.

It sucks they're all breaking on everyone, however with those black triangles out of the way you should be able to get some good shoulder angles/poses in Gerwalk/Battroid with the bit of extra space.

Actually, there are two main things that make him look "stubby" I guess. Based on the lineart (which is always perfect in all three modes...) the head on the toy is slightly too small, coupled with the fact the torso/chest area is more broad. This pushes the shoulders out farther and makes it look like it's very wide in the shoulder region. I think those are the main differences that are affecting the point of view that the shoulders are too wide. But in order to fit the arms and legs in fighter how else would you do it but to keep the width of the chest area the same as well. Compromises.

Eh, it's a relative low viz.. You get almost the same effect plus it's semi-stylized. A fully low-viz scheme isn't interesting enough on a toy to entice most people to buy. I don't want to nitpick but I can plainly see yellow on that second pic... but I get what you're saying.

I was referring to the Ozma YF-29 variant. While it has some minor yellow highlights around the intakes and the skull on the spine the skull is really small (not that it stands out much anyway) and it's largely just really dark colors. Looks pretty low viz to me.

What's with the floppiness in the knees in fighter mode?

X-Men: Days of Future Past, in theaters May 23, 2014
Mommar replied to azrael's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I don't know, I don't think they're going to be able to pull this movie off. The first X-Men was okay but Singer had a hard time giving everyone enough to do and that was a MUCH smaller cast. The Second movie was a little better but VERY Wolverine centric. First Class... on first viewing it was middling to okay, not as good as I had hoped given all of the interviews leading up to it, but on second viewing (on my way to Hawaii) it was downright terrible except for the parts where Magneto was hunting down all of the old Nazi's (the scene in Argentina is great.)- 329 replies

Technically wouldn't Ozma's be a low viz?
