I'm with you Loop, I only collect Macross toys (Bandai Renewals, and Yamcadia releases) so that frees up a lot of funds for me.

Yeah, I'm saving for YF-19 as well. I want an additional set of Armor for a custom with a Max 1A like from the Master File book but it can wait (if it will happen at all.)

Hmm, well it's been almost two days and Fed Ex hasn't updated at all since receiving shipping confirmation. Maybe I won't have one by this week.

Take as many pics as you can once it's finished. This is one of the few I couldn't bring myself to afford and I'm kicking myself still. I need some big time vicarious living here.

To be honest I seriously doubt the VF-0 is going to cost what the 19 does. I'd suspect, still very high, somewhere between 22,000 - 25,000 yen. Possibly even less if they won't pack much else in.

There's more to it than just that. We also know Yamato lost money, which is why the Arcadia VF-1's are more expensive. That means the 19 models will have to be more expensive as well. You're also not factoring in that it's a niche fan base who they are only legally allowed to sell to in Japan. There's no mass market to produce for, not in Japan where the show this comes from wasn't as popular, so say anything about being able to produce it for world wide fans. Then you add in the facts everyone else has stated. It's complex, and the end result is things have to be more expensive then we would like. I know it's more than I wish it could be, but I'm aware of the situation surrounding the market and am not willing to get angry at because it isn't what I hoped/wished/expected it should be.

I'm interested in why you think we're taking anything "up the rear?" Can you explain why it shouldn't cost this much or how it's greed?

Unfortunately NY doesn't always do a good job shipping things right away. This time I got lucky and they shipped the first day. In the past that has not been the case with me either. It can be frustrating.

Maybe, maybe not. In terms of everyday use/office stuff Microsoft still rules supreme. But Valve has a lot of clout with a huge portion of the PC gaming community. If their OS really is so lightweight that people are seeing performance boosts in all of their games, that would be a large portion of the population suddenly using non-Miscrosoft software. At least when it comes to gaming. And all it takes is for one person in an internet forum to complain a game runs like crap and be told "run SteamOS" with a link to a tutorial how to do it. Others will surely have the same problems, find those posts and some will make that change as well. Not all, some people are too afraid to change any of their routine.

You need to play with one of the VF-19's in Battroid mode before you decide it isn't worth it. So much fun to pose and rock solid. Really, the fighter mode is beautiful too. You'll be happy with it, I think.

That's not verification the 19 will be made to order but it's an indication as such. It's a tough call, I was okay having multiple VF-4's because the scheme was generic enough to be any old squadron. But the color of Isamu's 19 is pretty distinct (and I'm also not a HUGE fan of it, I just happen to really love the YF-19 aesthetic.)

I wonder if including all of the extra accessories will wind up being a problem or if subsequent releases will forgo the additional stuff for a cheaper package.

Sounds like I may be on deck for photos this time. Hopefully my CF has held up. It's been hanging in Gerwalk mode for the past several months.

It sucks for the many people who can't afford one but anybody who was expecting it to be anything less than 300 really needs to get a grip on reality.

The adapter is arm specific? I guess I just assumed it could fit on either side like other super parts on other Valks work. I wouldn't worry about making one for the left arm if it's that much trouble.

I want two, one for each arm. Then I can loud out the V2 with missiles, etc... and have a super heavily armed Gerwalk.

And suddenly on second viewing I was completely wrong about what you're talking about. Even still, that part of the VF-19 is thicker as well. Once again, not as obvious because of color and because the wing root blocks it. Kind of a bummer but you might be able to shave that part down. Not sure if it would potentially make the transformation dangerous though.

Seriously, in person I don't believe it will be that bad. If you look at the VF-19 from head on the under fuselage flows perfectly. There's zero waddle hanging down at all. This is purely a play of light. It has to be a bit thicker for bits of the transformation to work but it still flows. You're seeing contrast at work because it's not being shielded from the light like the VF-19. Compare V1 to V2... V1 has a HUGE gullet. This is just the exposed lower fuselage with some contrast. It'll work out. Though I'm pretty sure filing it down will absolutely not work, for the said reason from head on the fuselage already flows in one perfect motion.

That same bump exists on the VF-19 series as well. You just can't see it as easily because of the colors those fighters are painted. The only reason why it seems like it protrudes more is because on the VF-19 series the wing root extends along the fuselage all the way to the cockpit whereas it ends further back on the YF-19. That means that portion of the craft isn't going to be shaded, thus you're going to see more of a contrast at that point. The fact we're all worried about it means we'll notice it even more. The intake covers have absolutely nothing to do with that portion of the craft...
