  1. Based on the images, not quite. The cockpit and nose of the fighter protrude from the rear in Battroid and block the area the Missile Block normally occupies in Gerwalk and Fighter mode.
  2. Really? Other than the missiles over the head (and possibly the wings on the back) I feel like this is one really holds together as a whole more in the vein of the VF-1.
  3. I didn't know you could repose these!?!?
  4. It's hard to see the wings popping off the back but otherwise I really to like the way this Battroid mode looks.
  5. That ejection seat warning symbol's tampo has fluctuated back and forth with the VF-1. Some of mine have then tampo'd others do not. And this is across the lifetime of the Valk, so it's not like only early versus late releases didn't have them and suddenly did. They seem to drop off and then be added back.
  6. No, it's that we understand why it's there and are used to it because it's exactly the same on the older VF-19's as well.
  7. Too bad he didn't try out heavier valks on the stand.
  8. Took them a whole frakking week to ship...
  9. I'm with you man. In this instance changing the color for a better look was more important then getting it anime accurate... kinda like how Ozma's gunpod color is different, and cooler, then the Anime version.
  10. Interesting question. I don't recall those arrows off the top of my head.
  11. Sounds like we're all in the preparing stage. I wonder if that means they never got their shipments or that they're held up by Bandai for some reason?
  12. Is it weird the most excited thing about this release for me is that I'll get to try out that stand with all of my other Valks to see how good they work?
  13. For the handheld systems i just gave up on physical copies. It's easier for me to carry everything on a giant memory card instead.
  14. You know one minor correction that might have made the whole thing work a bit better is if the portion of the shoulder inside the giant pads were able to slide forward you could get a little bit more pose-ability from the arms.
  15. Based on those photos there I'd say the VF-14 far more greatly resembles a Gobot then the VF-4.
  16. I just checked out some video for the PS Vita version of Blackgate. It looks like it runs MUCH better on the Vita.
  17. Thanks. That graphics card requirement is just outside my range (plus it's mobile.) I suppose I should upgrade my desktop at some point soon so this laptop can be relegated to life as a DAW.
  18. I can't speak for David but I don't speak Japanese or else I would tell him. I'd suggest many things if I could.
  19. The Kotaku review is based on the Vita version. I am not sure if the gameplay is more tight on the Vita then the 3DS. I can say the controls feel mushy and unsatisfying. I realize the original Metroid had some pretty stiff controls but by Super Metroid that was ironed out and it and Symphony of the Night were buttery smooth. This game is just clunky. I really feel that the strength of the mechanics of the Prime games mixed with the strength of the mechanics in the Arkham games mashed together in 2D does not work. You have to hold your finger over a button to scan the room for additional clues and it's clunky. Every few steps you have to do it again (if you're a completion-ist.) The combat is marred by the fact you don't have as many things you can perform, and the game auto targets for you so if an unarmed guy is in the background and a knife guy is in the foreground and you attempt to cape swipe the knife guy the game may decide to push you towards the background and cape swipe the unarmed guy... then you get stabbed. There's also no swooping in and ducking back out of fights. There's no dropping from the rafters to tie guys up. No booby-trapping things. You can pop up from grates, swoop kick a single guy and get into fist-fights. Plus, it's a 2d side-scroller, give me a jump button. The non-jumping mechanic from the Arkham games makes it so cumbersome to move around the environment (and also limits how interesting the environment can be.) The only console Lego games I've played are the Star Wars ones and now Marvel Superheroes. I've only played Batman 2 and Lord of the Rings on 3DS. LotR has an awful, awful framerate on the 3DS. So what's the range that Shield device can operate?
  20. I find it interesting in attempt to close the dark gap in the knee joint in fighter they've elected to us a black plastic tab. The overall effect doesn't seem to actually fix anything. It would make more sense to color that tab tan like the rest of fighter.
  21. Are Scyla and wm talking about the same problem? To me it sounds like Scyla's issue is that the leg isn't rotation cleanly. The Leg not locking in fighter mode is a different problem (and not unique to the CF, my Alto had the same issue.)
  22. And what does this have to do with the show?
  23. I hope this turns out good. I didn't find the trailer for the first Cap to be very enticing, nor either of the Thor Trailers, and I was pretty disappointed in Iron Man 3's execution despite how much I loved the brave use of Blue as the intro song. I don't want to get hyped up but I feel like this trailer is far more interesting for me personally.
  24. Yeah, I decided to get it. I'm not that far through the game yet but it's a mixed bag IMO. You're right, the situations and level design make brawling the way to go. I think they were trying to impress that Batman is more green and more willing to go at it with his fists (also evident by the fact he's a lot more angry/brutal in cut scenes) but it doesn't make him come off as "green." It makes him come off as a violent ass-hole, and that the game world isn't designed as well. I've noticed they used a huge chunk of Arkham City as well so the newer larger world doesn't really feel all that new. They dressed it up different, but it feels the same. The timing for countering feels different to me too. The story is a lot better then City was, at least up to the point I've made it. They could go off on some fantastical tangent at some point I suppose. I will say the PC version is optimized far better then the last two games were. Playing on a year old gaming laptop (that wasn't top of the line at purchase) with everything turned up (including turning on the DX11 features... I do not have a DX11 card) I average 40fps with occasional dips below 30. With the two DX11 features bumped off it screams at 100+fps. I have heard people complain that Roger Craig Smith's acting is flat and there's no variance in his performance. So far I haven't experienced that. I think he's nice and subtle. Speaking of Batman I got the Blackgate game for the 3DS. So far it's not very fun. It plays really clunky and slow. Perhaps the Vita version feels tighter? I don't know. I feel the controls are not as intuitive, the timing for attacking/countering is inconsistent and the overall experience is not satisfying (or Metroid-like) at all. Also Lego Marvel Superheroes is a simplified version of what the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games should have been. Maybe sometime soon someone will make that happen proper.
  25. I agree with EXO, if you hate everything about the show/story/Kirkman just exit the thread. That being said, after all this time Daryl still hasn't figured out to keep his eyes on the road when driving through the Zombie Apocalypse? That same scenario has been played a few times now in the show and only a minor correction could have been made to 1) not make him look like an imbecile and 2) still use the rest of the scene and maybe give it a little more impact.
