  1. Bromance is when it's two guys who are really close. When it's two actual brothers it's just called incest.
  2. To be honest, even though I've seen all of the pics before I've never seen them at that high a resolution so I appreciated the link.
  3. You know, it's interesting. Arguing that they shouldn't do the 2SS because the show wasn't popular doesn't make much sense. Plus wasn't terribly well received but everybody loves the YF-19 design. It seems there's a size-able contingent of people who are enthusiastic about the 2SS in just the same way. I'd buy a 2SS long before I'd buy a VF-9 (I wouldn't ever.)
  4. Does that mean 1A's? Because other then Hikaru Max and Kaki never flew off shelves and Max's 1S wasn't seen with them anyway. Seems like after Roy and and Hikky's 1S it'd be time for Super Parts.
  5. The thing I will say about this color scheme. While it resembles Hikaru's, after Hikaru came Isamu which looked different, came Basara which looked different, came what's-his-face from Mac Zero which looked different, came Alto which looked different (though was a throw-back to Hikaru) and now Leon... who we can all confuse for Alto because it LOOKS EXACTLY THE SAME. 171, 25F and now the 30, unless you played the game and know the difference you're going to confuse this thing for Alto (which may actually be the marketing strategy from Bandai.)
  6. Yeah, I could see it being a separate set. Bandai likes their add-ons. But, if it's some additional panels and missiles... that's not much. Maybe there is a chance Kawamori designed some other add-ons they would choose to include to swap out the missile container too? Either that or we're paying $80 for two swappable panels and some missile parts. lol I suppose there's also an off chance that since the game was released Kawamori came up with some armor parts for the thing as well and they'll show up too (fyi, I don't believe my own speculation here.)
  7. I just want to see more photos of the damn toy.
  8. It's impressive engineering on that customizer's part but the thing that strikes me is how awful the proportions are. Interesting so many people are asking about R. To be honest, they could reuse almost all of their old molds (or justify revisiting a few, especially from Zero) with some minor (some major) tweaks, but mostly the engineering is already done for the majority of the R versions of the Valks.
  9. It's a bummer they only ever show Battroid and Fighter mode. Why must Gerwalk be so forgotten, especially considering that in the game this comes from that mode winds up being your primary combat mode.
  10. I hope you aren't right about that. Having 25's that can be loaded out would be so cool. But if they were going to do that they should have started with the CF versions, or the re-released Alto. In other news my 25G has been on a stand for a little over a year. I took it down to put the super parts on it. Legs be floppy... Bandai sucks. If there's still enough light for a decent picture I'll try to do this for you and post it tonight. They're already set for each of the three modes as well. I can tell you the 19F is the darkest of the blues, with the 25G being an extremely close second. Max's 1J is far lighter by comparison.
  11. I wonder why they chose to go with hard points for this release? I will say that having that hard point right where the forearm shield is located appears as sort of a blemish, really. I like options for loading out and changing the look of my Mecha but it's a bit of a let down how visible that hard point is. Though to be honest, provided it could be held on with a death grip, that panel could easily be swapped for a flat one. Given the look of the panel line on the outer wing the other hard point could conceivably be removable too. The only problem with that is Bandai's potential poor engineering which could mean the hard point panels can easily droop/fall off .
  12. Here's a very good article that explains what the Steam Machines and OS are all about. http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2013/11/valve-steam-machines/
  13. It's an interesting idea but I kind of feel like entirely red armor on the 171 is way too bright and the red should have only been a highlight.
  14. I'll take one of each, please.
  15. Based on the images, not quite. The cockpit and nose of the fighter protrude from the rear in Battroid and block the area the Missile Block normally occupies in Gerwalk and Fighter mode.
  16. Really? Other than the missiles over the head (and possibly the wings on the back) I feel like this is one really holds together as a whole more in the vein of the VF-1.
  17. I didn't know you could repose these!?!?
  18. It's hard to see the wings popping off the back but otherwise I really to like the way this Battroid mode looks.
  19. That ejection seat warning symbol's tampo has fluctuated back and forth with the VF-1. Some of mine have then tampo'd others do not. And this is across the lifetime of the Valk, so it's not like only early versus late releases didn't have them and suddenly did. They seem to drop off and then be added back.
  20. No, it's that we understand why it's there and are used to it because it's exactly the same on the older VF-19's as well.
  21. Too bad he didn't try out heavier valks on the stand.
  22. Took them a whole frakking week to ship...
  23. I'm with you man. In this instance changing the color for a better look was more important then getting it anime accurate... kinda like how Ozma's gunpod color is different, and cooler, then the Anime version.
  24. Interesting question. I don't recall those arrows off the top of my head.
  25. Sounds like we're all in the preparing stage. I wonder if that means they never got their shipments or that they're held up by Bandai for some reason?
