There aren't any Bandai Fast Packs/Armor that would fit into those shoulder holes though, only the Wing packs would possibly fit and I'd have to check my packs at home to see if the attachment points are anything similar to the wing root notches here.
-
And now that I think about it the notches in the wing root plus using that inner-most missile mount could be enough to hold on some REALLY light version of those Fast Packs. Maybe there is a chance... not that I'm a fan of the look, the fact they may have factored that in is pretty cool.

There's also a notch on the top of that wing root. For what purpose? photo12_L.jpg

Hmm, well I can't tell if it's just because it's a production model and things are loose but there are notches cut into the bottom of the wing roots and there are two tabs that appear to be removable. Perhaps they HAVE already thought to include potential attachment points for the Frontier-style Fast Packs. But those little shoulder holes could also double for the Fold Booster as well. I guess if they wanted to try to make even more money off of this thing and try to piggy-back on some Frontier money with the newer fans this would be the smartest way to do it. On the other hand, why hide it? Pre-orders are already closed aren't they? I triple checked other photos, those tabs cover screws so that part of my speculation is nonsense. The notches top and bottom still holds up though.

Unless there's some additional attachment point hidden on the wing root we haven't seen/noticed I can't see this really working for the Frontier Fast Packs. We could be surprised, but more likly it's just for the Fold Booster with, possibly, a forward thought to maybe supporting the frontier design at some point (though, again, attachment point on wing root?)

What does "heavy" mean? Also, fricken' bad-ass!!!!

I just went back and looked at some of the old Prototype pics from October and I think they really had the colors perfect back then.
-
No, it gets hot around here. They sell them quite tinted brand new on the lot. My brothers Santa Fe is next to impossible to see through unless you press your face against the glass and it wasn't an after-market tint. Regardless, I think you're right that the color of the canopy was integrated well with the rest of the look in the prototype version whereas now they've sort of watered down the look via committee, trying to make everyone happy.
-
Looking back at the images from the game I hope these magazine pics are just off colorwise. While the Valk is definitely a darker shade of Grey from Ozma's 25 it still needs to be light enough for a contrast between the Black lines and the rest of the Valk, which I feel isn't the case in these photos though that could be angle, lighting, etc... too.

$220 at the cheapest and that's really stretching my ability to not laugh.

Just "leak it" on a torrent like everybody else does.

Where is everybody seeing a release in May?

Based on the render they appear to have the canopy color wrong i.e. terrible. Then again, between the two renders the crystals don't even match. In the fighter mode all of the crystals and canopy appear purple while in the Battroid render the crystals appear to be a pale blue. Either way the toy-gem color Bandai has going here kind of ruins the rest of the scheme.

Yeah, I mentioned right after I got my Super Parts that it was terrible in Gerwalk as there is no room to move the arms at all. While the Gerwalk mode on the regular VF-25 is probably one of the best/most-free of any toy Valk with the Super packs on it's one of the worst, especially for the RVF variant. Though it really isn't the Toy's fault the design of the giant boosters on the wings effs up everything in other modes. Still, no fun to "pose." -
As underwhelmed with this mold as I was with Isamus I might get this because I prefer the scheme.
-
You've obviously never been to the Southwest. Good luck seeing into the cabin of most cars around here. The thing that made Isamu's 29 look toy-like was the chosen colors all around plus the shiny, cheap plastic.
-
Don't like it, I thought the darker tint was much better looking.
-
Other than possibly not selling well I don't see why they wouldn't redo the whole line. A lot of the mold could be re-used for the 0A/S I believe.

Even though it's mostly blurred out it isn't shaped like the Maxl. The Maxl doesn't have that antenna sticking out of the nose, which this obviously has. Also, the Delta Wing looks different between the two. And the blurred out feet aren't shaped the same either. I can't imagine this being anything other than the 0D, which is cool, though I'm not sure what kind of a market there is for it outside of us here on the board. Is this another one like the VF-4 that modders like to collect?
-
That's why we're suggesting they leave out interior stuff. Cut out mold costs as well.
-
You would have to take that up with Kawamori then.
-
But all of the Valks in SDFM are already 'bright snow white.'

What size (height, width, depth) is that cabinet?
