I was hoping to see some pics with the missiles finally attached.

I've heard mixed reviews for the quality of some of the models. I personally like the fact that they're attempting to cover pretty much every ship in Star Trek imaginable.

If you don't like the way it looks that's fine. Arguing it doesn't look like one scene or another won't work though. The animation throughout isn't accurate with itself from scene to scene. The closest you could come to "accurate" or "official" is the lineart from something like This Is Animation Special, etc... and in that case the Battroid mode is shown as being more stubby like this toy is (and even still, the toy is lanky compared to that lineart.)

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - Coming May 2, 2014

Oh, come on guys, let's not go the Batman & Robin route so quickly. The first one was decent, let's not muddy up the whole thing with a bunch of villains now. They stuck 2 1/2 in Spiderman 3 and the whole thing went to crap.- 153 replies

Actually, new method can greatly affect how easily toys (anything, really) can be engineered. Possibly it could have been done in the 90's, but at what cost? Considering the 1/72 and the first iteration 1/60 weren't nearly this good could it REALLY have been done? Digital cameras have been around since the moon landing in the early 70's, but could it be done at any sort of cost effect price? No. It took further engineering across multiple disciplines before it became practical/cost-effective to market a digital camera to mass consumers. So there could be further advancements in materials, manufacturing, design, software, etc... that could change many things, and could address problems people have now.

So for some reason I didn't think it was on last night, and the DirecTV guide confirmed that for me. F.U.C.K.

All I said was some people aren't going to like it still. Really, when the last YF-19 came out and it had that ridiculous Turkey Waddle people said "it's the best we can get" and it turned out not to be the case. Anybody who doesn't like this now could still be correct. Looking at the line-art some more (for curiosity, not nit-picking), the intakes in fighter are so impossibly close together the shield/legs in back would never work and the wing roots would never be able to transform the way they do. I do still think reusing the same crotch piece as the VF-19 series is a mistake however, as that part isn't shaped the same on the YF-19, however they still would have to take liberties with the transformation as that part is also impossible to shape correct in both modes without some sort of malleable material that doesn't exist. The squared off intakes actually kind of compliment the more square/blocky styled shoulders up top IMO.
-
I think it looks great, but if you stick it right next to the line-art there are still going to be people who don't like/want it because there's obvious deviations.
-
It's cool some others are able to order one because of the HLJ sale.

You'll buy it and you'll like it!

Did you see that photo? What would cause a Porche to explode like that?

After looking at some of those "new" photos from various different angles it's entirely possible that new hip section was what broke. It looks like there isn't a lot of room to get all of that stuff to move to the correct location.

The color and battroid mode. I guess Gerwalk is pretty gnarly and bird-of-prey looking, I'm just not sure how poseable it is with the super heavy gun and the fact the arms aren't as dynamic as on the Renewal 25's. I haven't seen much done with the legs for different style poses either.

That's a really low price, I'm still not sure I care enough to spend $130 on one though. I was never much of a fan.

For $125 I'd be tempted to buy another one. -
What a minute, what was floppy about the drone kit? The poseable arms are all floppy? One of the ball joints the drone plugs into on mine is a bit loose but everything else was super tight. Almost too tight. In terms of the wing boosters, they're hard to clip on in general. If you don't have things lined up right they won't fit on. It was the same on my 25G as well. I've honestly not tried fighter mode to see if the leg boosters stay on but they were difficult to attach to the RVF as opposed to the G.

Even the close up pic is too dark for me to be able to tell what the ankles are actually like but they appear to be the same horrible design to me. They do go back all the way, but the prototype models are kind of loose and this may not be the case on the production model... not without the loosening issues the VF-19's experienced.

Well, he's in shape and he can snarl but how does that prove he should "play" Wolverine? What little acting to be done in that skit was already pretty poor.- 329 replies

I disagree, I'm rather clued into how lucky I am to have tax-free imports.
-
I don't know about others but the plastic fitting along the seams isn't great on my drones. There are more than a few gaps, especially on the thin tail at the back.
-
Nope, no circular pegs. The bottom of the Ghosts are now flush. Oh, you can also unplug the little red-tipped transmitter if you want to as well.
-
Well, in fighter and battroid it's functional and cool looking. If you're a Gerwalk fan... they're pretty much useless. I took them back off already.

Actually it comes with three stands, they're miniature Gundam stands. Each one has three holes. I only used the one because it saves space and looks less cluttered. yeah, I didn't like the way the Super Part crotch looked.
