It sucks that some of you can't afford it, but just because you personally can't doesn't mean it's "out of reach for collectors." The fact some of us keep buying means it isn't out of reach, like it or not. I would say that largely Macross is out of reach of collectors due more to Harmony Gold then any price barrier.

That's a pretty brilliant way to display the armor. Also, is that the Sh Figuarts War Machine?

Did he have a family or anything? Is there a fund we could donate to help existing relatives or something?

My plan was to get the Hikaru 1S and try out the stand with every single Valk Yamato has released and report back here how it works for all of them.

Holy crap Typev! You're going to have to buy one of everything now because I've designated you the official photographer for EVERYTHING.

My Yf-19 will be combating the dreaded "house cat."

Or Gerwalk....

Around Christmas time last year LA customs slowed to a ridiculous crawl. I had to wait two weeks for one of my VF-4's. And they only shipped after I dug up the phone numbers for customs and cussed them out.

To be honest I notice the pilot difference more than the rest of that stuff.

Yeah, we seem to be bumping up against some different ideas about what fast packs do. In The First it's explained that the Valks aren't as maneuverable in space as the battlepods and they justify the fast packs as a way to add additional vectoring/speed. That doesn't mean they actually need fuel, but then some of the statistics in the books comment on propellant don't they? I had always assumed it was limitless even in the VF-1 until I came across this board and heard about additional propellants (which I understand is a real world thing.)

Why does it have to take a moment to crap on the old movie? It just needs to be good.

I can't help but feel that some designs and decent special effects were wasted on one of the stupidest things I've ever seen. This looks like something you'd hear a nine year old talking about, "and wouldn't it be cool if.. and wouldn't it be cool if... and wouldn't this be cool..." just throwing a bunch of idiot crap together.

Looks like the guy on the right is a liar in my opinion... If I walked in and the room didn't look as big as the pics I'd walk back out, I don't appreciate false advertising.

I guess the real proof how these new DYRL valks will be is with the Hikaru 1S though. We've all seen this scheme in both bright white and the darker shade. We've never seen the Hikaru in a bright white (not that a red stripe on bright white is some sort of difficult thing to imagine.)

That's pretty much the definition of the 19...

Mostly I'm asking because some people are talking like these toys are faulty and will immediately turn yellow within a year when I've had many all white toys (not just Valks) that have been going strong for ten years now. I suppose the Valks proper have been on for about four and show no signs of changing color. I mean, it took fifteen years but my SNES isn't the original color it used to be anymore so it's not like much darker plastics can't go bad either.

Actually, I'd argue that the lack of ability to click the thigh more than three times was also a mark against it. The Bandai valks have smaller areas and they get a TON of movement there. That would make Gerwalk far more dynamic on the 19 in addition to the ankles.

Maybe Godzilla would have heard/spotted a plane at lower altitude and attacked it? He thought Into Darkness was great, he's not immune from making bad decisions either. I like what they did the with the trailer. That short neck still gets me for some reason. Maybe flashbacks to the Broderick one? I mean, really, in a single silent shot of Bryan Cranston crying I saw more/better acting/emotion then 98% of what's out there (he's right, the eyes make all the difference.) Have they ever shown bodies strewn about in any other Godzilla before? The train clip is pretty intense imo.

It's not a "revision." It's completely new engineering. It fits together tighter and better in all three modes. It's a completely new sculpt that looks better in all three modes. The body holds together in both Gerwalk and Battroid now so it isn't a floppy mess. There's better articulation (debatable in Gerwalk due to the type of ankles they went with.) Better quality plastic. Plus what Deadeye said, hardpoints, missiles, etc...

How long does it take for Bright white plastic to yellow?

I'm very much enjoying the go between for everyone's reasons why they prefer the 17 over the 171 and vice versa.

Minus the breaking shoulders both the 171 and 17 are flawed toys in their own rights.
