I would take one of those 109a's and the Plus version if it were produced. However, the Plus version would require different molds. The legs/chest/arms/shoulders are all different. They also wouldn't look that thick. You'd wind up with more of a stick-boy like that Experten one.

Ugh, finally got some info. on my order. It's stuck in LA Customs Hell. I probably won't see it until after the New Year considering how long it took the frakk-ups who work in that office last year.
-
I think I'll get the super parts. I don't really like the way they look in anything but Gerwalk mode though.
-
And Scyla offers the best defense (really only) defense for pikashoo! I like the boat/armor idea.

So the already highly sensitive joints on the YF-29 pretty much get demolished with the Fast packs attached?
-
Where is there a back plate that stays in the same spot in both fighter and gerwalk that far back? Would supporting the weight of the craft be safe there? I'd love to have a mount that puts the weight farther back.

So I ordered one of these from amiami. It's been a VERY long time since I've ordered anything from them. Are they in the habit of not sending out shipping notifications, or tracking numbers... or doing anything besides updating their website with a little "shipped" notification tucked away in their horrible, horrible user interface? I have no idea if this thing is actually on the way or when to expect it.

I was able to get the VF-19P to stay on the stand in fighter. There's pics of it in one of the older threads. But I would NOT leave it like that. I'd be worried the weird stress on the neck would cause some sort of damage.

LMAO... we will pay for them, won't we?

Macross Frontier Movies BD Boxset WITH ENGLISH SUBS!
Mommar replied to Tochiro's topic in Movies and TV Series
I've got your back. It took me multiple tries to get through all of the first movie and I honestly gave up and fast forwarded to the final fight of the second film.- 286 replies

All Things Videogame Related: EXTREME VS!!
Mommar replied to Keith's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
To be honest I think The Walking Dead is terrible and unplayable. It would have been better as an interactive graphic novel, but the terrible bits of shoe-horned "gameplay" made me quite after the first episode. No amount of story content will make me go through that slog again.- 6756 replies

It works fine in Battroid, okay in Gerwalk... and pretty much not at all in Fighter.
-
Wow, it holds like that with a brick like the VF-17 on it. How heavy is that base?
-
Fascinating. Thanks addict!

Maybe their tactic is to see if low production, targeted releases is profitable? If it works maybe they'll decide more rare Valks will be profitable as long as they don't spit out so many everybody just waits until they go on sale (hint hint.)

I'm tempted to post a pic of that Max on Mr. K's twitter with a "hint hint" message to him.- 19 replies

I thought even these VF-1 releases were made-to-order types this time around? Anything left on a shelf is purely cancelled pre-orders. Just to avoid this kind of crazy 75% off sale nonsense now?
-
If you don't have a Roy I'd say get him then. Though I do think the red with the S head is rather striking personally.

WB/Legendary really clamped down on that original teaser. I'm not sure it's anywhere anymore. I couldn't find it.

The thing about the Roy release is that we've already seen Roy in Pure and off white. His scheme is no different between DYRL and SDFM. This is the first we've seen of the other DYRL schemes in pure white, not like it was hard to picture a red stripe instead of a yellow one, but it's good to actually see it and know they look decent. Bit of a bummer it won't sit well next to my other four DYRL's but I can live with it. Unfortunately there's no daylight when I'm home from work anymore so pics won't turn out so hot (unless it shows up before the weekend, which I have no faith in with EMS.) However, I plan to take pics of EVERY valk on that stand just to see how it works out with all of them.
-
None of that made sense to me but I want my 1S now.
-
You know what, I wasn't sure what to make of the DYRL Valks all in white but I really like the way that 1S looks. Arcadia might've just convinced me to rebuy my other four DYRL Valks (Max 1S and all three 1A's)...

I think it does. I'm not "hardcore collector" enough to pay 1K for any of these toys. But somebody here is, and they did for those 1/55's (which I cannot personally fathom.) To be fair, he said hardcore collector versus hardcore fan. Those two things are mutually exclusive.

The TV White with the Red Stripe looks good. I do have a question, didn't the Roy release have a flip-top box? I'm asking because, especially for this release, removing the shopped Valk would look REALLY good if all you had to do was flip the lid to see the actual thing. I think the issue here is that Bandai takes the time to design the box around incorporating the actual toy image with the rest of the design whereas here it's more like they designed a box then duct-taped a toy image onto it.
