I won't buy anything that big, period.

Have you even seen Power Rangers? This is nothing like it. So far it has as stupid the meta-physical crap as Zero, Eve versus... singing/floating rock nonsense. Even still, it's a better story in ten minutes then all of the crap in Zero.

My reason for why Martha was a better companion then Amy or Donna. She had medical training and she was a looker. That puts her above Amy, who was useless except for being attractive, and Donna who wasn't even eye-candy and was irritatingly belligerent to boot. Really, at least Amy and The Doctor were tied to the fact they were both united a very early stages in each others lives. So there's that common bond, even if she was useless. Martha and Donna were just... there.

My gunpod doesn't open up either. But I hate the look of the opened gunpods from Frontier anyway and I think this one looks awesome as is so I haven't bothered. I just pop the scope and bayonet and call it good... though it SHOULD work even if it doesn't bother me. That's bad QC on these things.

This seems like the perfect thing to have as a give away at the MacrossWorld Conventions.

The bird-man and finale in general.

They don't do a lot with Clara, she was pretty much conceived as The Doctor's own Deus Ex Machina for his entire lifespan (which is getting pretty exponential at this point.) Then again, after going through that rift and witnessing every aspect of him across all of his lifetimes it's not inconceivable she would suddenly be emotional. In Day of the Doctor she became emotional when she was witness to The Smith Doctor going along with blowing up Galifrey, which was totally against his character. So it would make sense she would get highly emotional when he was about to die because she's seen him across his entire lifespan. If you want to argue "worst" companions, at least in the modern era, it's easily Donna. All bravado and ignorance/arrogance without an ounce of intelligence or ability. Her aging father was far more compelling a person... then again, so was Rory's.

I might be happy to buy a V3 VF-1. I would have to see it to know. I know there are things on the V2 that can be fixed and things I wish that were. The only thing is I already own so many the thought of buying all new one's (because you know I have no self-control otherwise I wouldn't own 20 VF-1 repaints already) isn't appealing. I kind of hope they do the VF-11Maxl just because it's pretty different, though I'm not a huge fan of the design. Gerwalk is probably the only mode I would leave it in unless Battroid were really fun to pose. I would be curious what new improvements to the relative 11 design they could come up with for the Maxl. Then again I'd take one of almost anything new they came out with.

AKA What Macross Zero should have been.

Hmm, I've noticed in both of your pics that the head can actually move up/down and left/right. My head can barely move at all. It feels like something is blocking it.

Another month... another chance for shameless self-promotion. http://www.mixcloud.com/JDCB/a-little-love-a-lot-of-lard/

I'm with wm chang, very nice looking. And what case is that? Also, be sure you leave a bit of room for the YF-30 as well.

Though it does make you wonder if he was so impressed with the Kai that it became official... what's the new thing he's so impressed with now?

My YF-29 arrived this afternoon. This is my first YF-29 and taking it out of the package I was underwhelmed. I wouldn't say it's the worst toy ever but compared to the 25 Renewals and the 171 (sans the exploding shoulders) it feels like it has the worst fit of all of them. Taking this thing out of the package was kind of like pulling out the YF-19 after already having a VF-1, 11 and 22 first... definitely the first attempt and a step back on several accounts compared to the VF-25's. I do have some sloppy paint apps. There's a bit of black on top of my cannons that's pretty noticeable. It's one of the few times I've been bothered by a botched paint app. It also wasn't transformed into fighter mode correct. So not a fantastic first impression unfortunately. I still disagree with the tan color they chose, it doesn't look great, especially with the glossy plastic. It's VERY toy-like (yeah, yeah... it is a toy.) In pictures I never found Battroid that cool looking but in person I've been enjoying posing it. I think Gerwalk looks like a beast, especially with all of the missile's showing, and it's my favorite of the three modes. Fighter I'm actually relatively disappointed in and probably won't mess with it much. Once the Super Parts arrive I may change my mind about fighter mode. I do feel like the wings should fold further back in Battroid however.

That thing looks bad-ass!!!

I do think people really like the design of the Zero line Valks, I just think the toys are so bad they aren't worth the effort.
-
Despite how some of us may feel about the look of these models there's no denying they are putting in an impressive effort.

All of you US people who have already received your YF-29's, where did you order from and by what means did you have them shipped? I'm very impressed how quickly some of you on the East Coast have managed to get yours. I'm still waiting in NM.

Mr K has said over and over that Mac2isn't profitable. It doesn't matter which of the Valkyries you choose to list from that series, it's still a no.

If you're going for a 17/19S there's very little "plunge" so to speak as they're heavily discounted and quite a good deal. If you prefer the white stripe/head style of the 17D/19F more then they will be more expensive. Personally I love all of my 17/19's S/D(x2)/S/F/P and think you would be happy purchasing them.

I wouldn't buy it. They just aren't very good toys. Hopefully Arcadia will eventually release new versions as the old one's are in desperate need of redoing.

1/48+fp's, 1/60+fp's, 1/72, 1/2k, 1/3k,1/100 and now 1/144

I just noticed the 202 on the nose. I hadn't done that with my Max (or my Milia.) It looks good. -
I would take both of those schemes plus the Teal Zolan scheme.

Oh, you're referring to the 22S. Everybody has been discussing VF-1 reissues and I was confused. The ghost isn't a Valk though, right? Neither is the SDF-1. Or do we know if it absolutely has to be a valk or for some reason I'm under that impression? I would buy all three of those things, however.

What's wrong with the red color on Milia's Valk?
