    The thing is that the 27 didn't have all of the improvements of the 25. That's one of the reasons why I skipped it.

    Yeah, I think the YF-25 Tornado Pack from that game looks pretty cool actually.

    It's good for you since you're a newcomer. I've wondered what I would have done if I hadn't stumbled across this site back in 2009. I do think that part of it is that retailers an gun-shy about Macross products now. Between the poor selling V1 Bandai stuff and all of the Yamato variants that clogged retailer warehouses I think if the manufacturers don't make sure to limit their productions the resellers won't bother stocking the products. So instead we have artificial shortages so there isn't as much stock left. And even still we've seen a few shelf-warmers.

    I've never seen this before. Very interesting to look at. The concepts for both shows really varied wildly at first.

    Maybe now we know why Yamato never went ahead with the 1/60 Monster. Just too big and heavy, etc... Hell, a slightly scaled down version that puts it only slightly over the size of the other Destroids would be "good enough" IMO.

    Well, minus the kaching sounds, I agree I'd love to see one of the transformation demo's Mr. K did. That was fast... no Gerwalk love though.

    I am so hoping the ankles are much better. I will be very happy if that's the case. Even if they aren't I'll have a lot of fun with just fighter mode alone swapping out missiles, armor, etc...

    You know, if the basic premise remains but they'll change the names and the designs of the fighters, etc... they'll have been forced to do precisely what Harmony Gold can't. Fix Robotech. That's amusing. I hope they find someone with good ideas for designing transformable fighters.

    I suppose I don't understand, is 35GB a large number in terms of Hard Drive space these days? My laptop alone sports multiple Terabytes.

    On Conan just a year or so ago he said he had done some voice over work for several Animes but he couldn't remember the names. If you had him sign something that looked vaguely Japanese at the very least he'd realize it was from one of his older voice-over gigs even if he didn't remember Isamu or Macross specifically.

    I speculated the only reason why we'd ever seen Bandai making all of these additional paint schemes is they've already paid for the molds so there's little risk in attempting new paint schemes. Actually, at this point there's probably more risk in re-issues as a new scheme has the charm of being new and anyone may want one. A re-issue is only going to be sought out by those few who didn't manage to get one the first time and that market is going to be smaller.

    Hey guys, I noticed nobody really discussed Mr. K's YF-19 transformation instructions. Did anybody watch him? Did anybody notice any differences in the ankles?

    If it's a kit shouldn't this topic be moved out of the toy section and into the model section then?

    All that tells me is that it needs to be remade NOW, because it looks awesome.

    I'm not sure if the chest portion will fit on the VF-1D's (Trainer and Virgin Road versions), VE-1 or VT-1 simply because the nose cone/chest piece are shaped different to accommodate the two seats. Other wise it should fit every single Yamato V.2 and now the three Arcadia releases (30th Anniversary VF-1J, DYRL Roy 1S and DYRL Hikaru 1S.)

    Thanks for the comment, it looked like that larger bug was moving things around on the deck of one of the Carriers in space but context was lost. I am curious what the text on pages 04 and 05 are about given the rather ominous photo. If you look in the background there are a LOT of wrecked VF-1's in the background. Given the effort to make these photos look realistic it makes the situation seem a lot more ominous. It gives you more of an idea how desperate they were and why they would start recruiting kids Hikaru's age if that many pilots/fighters are being taken out each skirmish.

    My biggest issue is that lots of us have been clamoring for a SDFM version of the SDF-1. Instead this give us this overpriced, mini-DYRL nobody asked for. Charge me $500 for a web-exclusive if they have to. It was my favorite thing from the original TV series, bar-none, and I'm still waiting for one.
