Everything on this thing is going to look awesome when you're through modifying it... but what about the massive noggin' it's sporting?

But you're forgetting the Black Dude (who's name escapes me) was also secretly collecting and doing something with dead rats too. Both he and the little girl seem pretty whacked.

Wicked Rush track. I'll see that a raise you an awesome 7x8 build up. (I can't believe the effort this guy put into fixing the audio from multiple sources...)

Wow, they actually said they're releasing the YF-19 early just to save their fans money from the increase in "VAT" that will be occurring in Japan? That's pretty nice of them actually.
-
Well hopefully. I still don't really understand the need for a single ball joint when a dual assembly, one intended to only move forward/back and another for left and right, would work much better. I wonder why they pushed up the release? It's cool we get it sooner, that's rare.

Err... it's a little more then just shy imo. I'm hopeful the ankles have been improved, which will put it in "just shy" territory for me, which might be good enough.

So I don't know who those three new people are. Anybody familiar with the comics want to toss up a spoiler tag I can read up on? I'd search for them myself but I don't even know what their names are to look.

So I've been swooping my 19F around the living room, performing bombing runs on the cat, and I'm getting pretty excited for the YF-19. The VF-19 has some of the best lines of any Valk Yamato ever produced and I think the YF-19 (barring any defects) will be an even better release.
-
I still think there's plenty of reason for them not to do it. Primarily because it's an odd design, it WILL be very expensive, and it's not super popular. I doubt it would sell well.

Hmm, I want an Arcadia VA-3 now. Seeing this thing realized in 3D makes a big difference in my appreciation for the design. The little hunch-backed Gerwalk is kinda interesting looking, unlike the line-art where I just don't like it.

Great acoustic version of a VERY 80's sounding band. There's actually one "country" song that's pretty fun to dance to as well but... it's way too guilty pleasure to post. It's honestly quite awful.

I've actually not been that inspired recently. Though I've always found this performance impressive... more-so because Brandon is chewing gum while singing. The raver in me thinks this would be a great track to start the night with. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0Hewl5PxTE

Damn, you wouldn't know that guy wasn't Bono if there weren't video along with this.
-
Hmm, I hadn't heard that yet. Very fascinating listen. I've always enjoyed them and I like this one too. I'm impressed that it sounds like a blend of the previous three decades of their music all rolled together.

Not owning the Armor Parts I forgot that they're actually more opened then the Super Parts. It's still poseable, if heavy, with the Armor. With the Supers, even with adjusting the shoulders, it's just no fun at all.
-
Naked the VF-25 in Gerwalk is super poseable, one of the best of all Macross toys. With Super Packs/Armor Gerwalk becomes useless. The shoulders are completely blocked and you can barely do anything with the arms.
-
If you can get the light to look right that would be really cool. Slightly off topic, where does that photo come from?

I find it amusing you're wondering if anyone can justify paying $300 for a 0D or the VF-4 yet you're buying three $300 YF-19's. Could have had one of each for the same dough.
-
LMAO, I totally forgot about that song.

Looking at the top of the wing in this photo here it appears there's room for the wings to sit on a pylon which can be pushed up in the back further after folding down. It's not a giant distance, the wing still hangs down to just below the knee but it would give a bit of clearance to the thigh.
-
I can think of some overly complicated ways the wings could fold onto themselves but it wouldn't be worth the extra expense.

We'll call that the "After Spacewar I" version.

I'm not saying Arcadia shouldn't do new things, I'm saying doing a bunch of new things poorly doesn't net you anything in the long run. They're not proven, so less likely to be adopted by others. Maybe Mr. K is taking notes however. The articulation in the hips is a giant improvement over the Yamcadias. In the feet as well... though they can get loose. Having to perform a "trick" to make something work is not an acceptable solution. I'd rather they figure out how to fix the design.

But here's the thing we all have great ideas, but how many of them are implemented in any sort of good way? We all want everything on this kit, but it had better not be a wonky, fidgety, difficult mess to use. And this kit is all of things and more. so good on them for implementing a bunch of new stuff... poorly.
