Star Trek TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT - pre-Paramount+ TV Series
Mommar replied to sh9000's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I paraphrased his response to the Trekyards guys on their youtube channel. I don't remember which episode it was to link to. -

I don't know about that. Was the fatigue that Star Trek fans weren't interested in Star Trek or was it that Voyager was watered down and didn't live up to the original premise due almost entirely to studio meddling and there were four pretty awful movies in a row (I don't agree First Contact was good, it was only the least bad.) Trek fans were fatigued with bad Trek and then along came Enterprise where, guess what, they mess it up for a sixth time. That NX-1 Refit was an idea Doug Drexler had basically from the beginning of the show. He used to add in the bottom hull from the original 1701 just to make sure the design was already balanced for it. Even though it wasn't there you could picture the lineage. He never did more than have some talks with Manny Coto about its potential in a later season but after Enterprise ended he decided to fully render it just for fun and then it happened to have a place in his Calendar series after that. -

Even Jolene Blalock on several occasions argued on set the things they were asking her to do weren't canon to Vulcan behavior. -

That's always how it works. The least popular thing becomes the most popular once nobody can find a pile of them anymore. I was buying up 11C's on sale at HLJ for $120 once upon a time. -
Last I saw it was due out the 24th. I might be miss-remembering, that's a Sunday which is an odd release day.

It's not a matter of being a completionist. I've found many times over the years my taste for the various looks changes. So sometimes I like to have the base Valk on the shelf. I might see a picture or watch the show and decide I want it with supers or with armor. And back when I shared your philosophy I found a few times I would kick myself when I didn't buy the armor because I'd revisit the look and wish I had that option.
-
So you have options?

There wouldn't be a term if it weren't normal.

BP looks painted really good but I just don't think I'm into this line anymore.

That's a weird design. From some angles it looks really cool. From others it looks absolutely dreadful.

Depends which way they go. Letting go of a lot of properties and only keeping the few really lucrative ones and then putting what little you save into better qc might actually work. Depending on what their actual problem is.- 924 replies

I saw the Hasbro renders. The Toby one is okay but the proportions on the Andrew Garfield version are completely wrong.

Looks like Animated Series Joker is finally releasing. They really jumped over several other pre-orders to get to that one.
-
I'll get the Toby and Andrew versions just to have movie renditions of their costumes but I'm not really interested in a No Way Home setup. I think given there were three spider-men+ in that final battle it was extremely boring and poorly choreographed.

Man, I've been curious about this kit too.

Hasegawa has done that with a few kits already so far.

Once upon a time Arcadia came to the conclusion non-canon liveries weren't worth the release. But now that they can sell in territories where we're more open to it somebody should try floating the idea to them again.

This is not mine, I just happened to run across the video on youtube. It’s a pretty cool interface/control to a motorized model with sound/lights/etc.
