Man, they really nailed the look of this thing. I was never much of a fan of the Battroid mode but the toy is really selling it to me here.

I wonder what the ankle mechanism is like? Every M7 Valk so far has had trash ankles.

That's one of the things that's made me question the design lineage. It usually shows VF-1->3000->5000->11->19. To me the 5000 looks like it's in the 11 configuration but with the 19's transformation. Almost like the 5000 and 11 should be parallel tracks and the 19 is the result of both merging back together.

I imagine with the booster attached it simply can't recess into the head. Otherwise it would be sticking into the booster like we saw with an earlier design. I'm assuming they aren't going to lengthen the pylons for the booster at this point so the only other option is to allow the laser to sit flush. I'll bet if the booster isn't attached the laser will sit correct. I don't think they could change anything at this point, that looks like a pretty far along demo unit. Except for a few warped seams it looks fully intact. No tape this time. I know we all want our alternate liveries but I'm assuming, given how Arcadia works, unless it's an in animation scheme (minus the VF-4 oddity) we aren't ever going to see alternates for it. Maybe they'll hit up the VF-X2, M3 or Plus liveries but at this point I'm even doubtful about that. You'd think maybe the Raven's scheme could work because it's nearly a Roy/Hikaru Skull Squadron analog but I'm not convinced they'll do any more. We'd have to buy the crap out of this one for even a prayer of others I'd imagine.

Has anybody heard when pre-orders for the new stuff might start showing up? Specifically Silver Centurion, King Conan and Doc Ock?
-
Those look very well painted/detailed. Is this different from the pre-order already up or are they all Premium Finish releases?
-
Not right now.

I’m down for Rock n Roll and Shipwreck. But does Rock n Roll only come with one machine pistol?

It’d be cool if the revisited the stealth armor with the Silver Centurion style. I always liked the stealth suit in that configuration better.
-
How could you print something with that much detail?
-
Somebody mocked up what they would look like in color.

I really wish I would have backed Storm instead of SHF, that Balrog looks awesome. Mai and Morrigan are must haves. Not super interested in Genjuro or Zombie-maru but Earthquake looks awesome. I'm continually impressed how well they've been able to milk the Golden Axe franchise and they're REALLY putting effort into getting details into the grunt characters as well. I wonder if they'll get around to the additional playable characters from the other two games? They already have a pretty good Centaur base body with Motaro. Have you zoomed in on that photo of Taki? Talk about attention to detail, they even got her pokies. Mitsurugi looks cool too. Storm will start off with not always obvious characters.

Knightfall technically begins with the Vengeance of Bane. If that Batman is based on the original part when Bane breaks his back that could be the Graham Nolan design.
-
Hush Ivy as well. Man, she looks good.
-
Looks like they're planning a Nightfall Batman and Bane too. Thing about this pic that's most exciting is they're finally going on on much larger body types (the price won't be exciting.) That means the inevitable 2028 release of Killer Croc could happen though.

When you're Hasbro and you've done every Spider-Man under the sun it makes sense to go for those really deep dives. But Mafex already going for Web-man?
-
I wonder what the next Haslab Marvel thing is they're hinting at. Pretty smart to make the back of the box a fancy Galactic backdrop. Unlike the Star Wars team attempting to make that a stretch goal.

They also didn't have photon torpedos in the beginning either. They had some sort of missile system instead. -

I paraphrased his response to the Trekyards guys on their youtube channel. I don't remember which episode it was to link to. -

I don't know about that. Was the fatigue that Star Trek fans weren't interested in Star Trek or was it that Voyager was watered down and didn't live up to the original premise due almost entirely to studio meddling and there were four pretty awful movies in a row (I don't agree First Contact was good, it was only the least bad.) Trek fans were fatigued with bad Trek and then along came Enterprise where, guess what, they mess it up for a sixth time. That NX-1 Refit was an idea Doug Drexler had basically from the beginning of the show. He used to add in the bottom hull from the original 1701 just to make sure the design was already balanced for it. Even though it wasn't there you could picture the lineage. He never did more than have some talks with Manny Coto about its potential in a later season but after Enterprise ended he decided to fully render it just for fun and then it happened to have a place in his Calendar series after that. -

Even Jolene Blalock on several occasions argued on set the things they were asking her to do weren't canon to Vulcan behavior. -
