I'm still concerned that waist twist will totally compromise Gerwalk.
-
It's not whining, just observation/speculation. I'm still buying one.
-
It has been on pre-order for months now, you could have bought it at any point between March and now.
-
If you have the money, buy it. It looks amazing in person.

So i sorted out the problem with the additional metal piece jammed in the foot and can now fully transform it to Fighter. This is my favorite color scheme hands down. It looks amazing in hand. Now if I could find a glue to hold on the little bit of base for the rear stabilizer...
-
Okay, time for a second question. Does anybody know of a glue that works on the Bandai Renewal Valks? The small triangle attached to the back of the base of the rear tail fins just came loose too. I think my YF-25 was assembled by a retard.
-
So I have a weird issue with my YF-25. It's not broken, per se, but I need to know how to dismantle the leg because there's a metal rod jammed vertically between the rod the foot rotates around preventing the foot from folding up correct in fighter mode. It's weird and I can't figure out a way to dismantle the leg to pull that additional rod out.

I don't like the 25S much either. I keep it in fighter mode.

It's not an easy thing to get right but I also think the Battroid is a bit too squat. The legs are too short really. The Masterfile book shows what happens if you have the legs longer, however, as the sings come down to almost the ankles in Battroid. That would also affect the sizes of the chest and back plates since the back plate would need to extend farther back to match longer legs too. Even still, the intake's seem kind of oversized. Maybe the head a bit too. It may all look way better in color in the end as well.
-
Even in those older photos I felt the intake section looked oversized from some of the front facing pics.
-
I mean anything based off the VF-1 airframe is going to be rock-solid in terms of engineering because it's a well tested body.
-
Just fyi, nobody I'm aware of on this board has their YF-25 in hand yet.
-
My YF-25 is on the Fed Ex truck out for delivery right now. Talk about fast!
-
I don't think longer is the problem. I'm thinking more in the verticle sense. It's too thick.
-
Given Arcadia is releasing 1 of each Hero valk is makes sense they would still have those gaps on the backpack. They're going to make a Roy 0S as well, guaranteed.
-
Something about that fighter mode seems a bit... chunky, to me.
-
Not only are they different lengths but they aren't shaped the same either. I like the asymmetry.
-
I'm saying both, because there's no doubt they're both awesome looking.
-
This is the correct answer. Interesting idea. I might try that myself. Though I don't think the two blue colors are identical.
-
So I looked at mine today, the left side does have a nick in the paint. Oh well.
-
I guess we should all check that bit just to see if it's cracked on ours too, huh?
-
I can't wait to have this thing in hand. I really want to see the scheme in person. And also check out the funky, different head sculpt.
-
Probably not. I only received my very first point from them with the shipment of this order. After some of the other order splitting, etc... fiasco's some of us have experienced I'm not really sure how many more points I'm really going to get.

There is precedent for re-using the VF-1 body multiple times over across the Macross Franchise. The 3000 and 5000 were both modifications on a tested formula. Sticking the SW-XAII in the timeframe right after the VF-9 might make sense, as that's a General Galaxy project. It could have been an attempt by Shinsei to produce something cheaper on a tested platform that could out-perform the 9. Then again it could still fit in as a prototype they did try to use to beat out General Galaxy with the VF-17 as the VF-1 has been used as the basis for the VF-4, 3000, 5000 and 11 and you could call this the last attempt with that stable air-frame before pushing on to the 19 design.

So the Macross II game I'm referring to is called "Eternal Love Song." It's been mentioned on the board here a few times, there aren't many pictures of the VF-4 from that game but there is a roughly accurate fan drawing. http://s26.photobucket.com/user/ReddyRedWolf/media/VF-4GSiren.png.html
