  1. I can't wait to have this thing in hand. I really want to see the scheme in person. And also check out the funky, different head sculpt.
  2. Probably not. I only received my very first point from them with the shipment of this order. After some of the other order splitting, etc... fiasco's some of us have experienced I'm not really sure how many more points I'm really going to get.
  3. There is precedent for re-using the VF-1 body multiple times over across the Macross Franchise. The 3000 and 5000 were both modifications on a tested formula. Sticking the SW-XAII in the timeframe right after the VF-9 might make sense, as that's a General Galaxy project. It could have been an attempt by Shinsei to produce something cheaper on a tested platform that could out-perform the 9. Then again it could still fit in as a prototype they did try to use to beat out General Galaxy with the VF-17 as the VF-1 has been used as the basis for the VF-4, 3000, 5000 and 11 and you could call this the last attempt with that stable air-frame before pushing on to the 19 design.
  4. So the Macross II game I'm referring to is called "Eternal Love Song." It's been mentioned on the board here a few times, there aren't many pictures of the VF-4 from that game but there is a roughly accurate fan drawing. http://s26.photobucket.com/user/ReddyRedWolf/media/VF-4GSiren.png.html
  5. That's the thing, I haven't paid yet. It would be easy enough to split the bill and recalculate the shipping in my case. Maybe they would still be screwed if I backed out, but given the fact I've NEVER backed out of a pre-order over several years time it's awfully irritating when I contact them requesting to split it up because I don't want to cancel and essentially they say, "screw you."
  6. Depending on how it's implemented it may be more like bunfux.
  7. Yeah, I preordered the two Tornado packs at the same time and asked them if I could split them up and they said no then closed the ticket. I reopened the ticket and asked them what they suggest i do. If they don't help me a lot of pre-orders are about to go unpaid for...
  8. That should be the color of blue on the Arcadia TV SDF-1 that will never be made. I really do like that shade on Max's VF-1. Oh, the the Reaction warheads tips being red matches the Valk so well.
  9. To be honest it almost looks like a Yamato Battlepod but with the additional leg part in the middle chopped out.
  10. If they re-issued the M&M's and provided like-colored Side and neck covers I'd bite. For anyone who wasn't into collecting them at the time, they're SOL. For everybody else who was around when they were first released... I don't know what to say. The moment I saw them I knew I should pre-order as they weren't going to be around long, they never sell as well, and would likely be rare. So I bit the bullet and went for it immediately. I even paid for them at a time after I was laid-off and needed to save money because I wasn't working but I knew if I waited there would likely be no other chance.
  11. The head certainly fits right in there but I don't recall having any sort of rubbing issues when I pulled mine out. I'll double check if there's anything wrong with it when I get home tonight.
  12. Sorry man, I don't really understand the question. My head looks okay.
  13. And it looks good in that scheme too.
  14. It's interesting to know we have some newer fans here who are interested in the older material and that there is actually a potential audience who could use a freshened up version of the original. A lot of the old-timers think it doesn't need to happen and/or there's no reason to but you're one person who proves that wrong (plus I hate the old animation at this point as well.)
  15. I am curious about the price. I'm no SD fan but I do like the proportions of the thing in Attacker Mode.
  16. I probably should have bought at least two of these. I really love the way it looks.
  17. Despite owning six other 25's I'm pretty excited for this release. I love when we start getting the more "off-colored" Valks. Even though it's a canon scheme from the show the fact that it apes the real world YF-16 is awesome to me. I like that cross-over, and I'm even more surprised Bandai is even spitting out stuff like this. It occurs to me if Bandai has known for awhile that a new Macross television show has been in the pipeline they may have decided to keep pumping out different variations of these Valks just to keep Macross at a certain level of visibility. Whatever the reason, it is cool we've had a few other options for Valks. The 25A and YF schemes are my two absolute favorites from the show, the big four are cool but don't have that same draw some of the classic schemes had (possibly because I find the new hero valks too busy.)
  18. Looking at those higher res photos for download. DAMN, only 30k for that!?!?
  19. But not via terrible engineering... What a strange piece to be metal.
  20. Should have read what I quoted, I was referring to the YF-19.
  21. $20 says it's not as good for marketing as it sounds.
  22. What model are you referring to? This will be interesting to see.
  23. The problem is that the "finished" non Mac 7 Plus version already looks horrible in every mode on it's own. However you're posting a pic of a model that, imo, never looked good to begin with. Those little specialized kits don't look good at all in any mode and don't pose well either.
  24. To be honest the combination of continued terrible ankles and the addition of the horrible high-speed gimmick kinda killed the whole "cool" thing for me. I so want to like it but it's just not as awesome as the lead up to release had us believe. Hopefully the 0D is a better release. I want it to be, just like I wanted the the 19 release before it.
