Anime5K19(whatever) described actually taking the entire thing apart but it's apparently a harrowing experience getting it all back together again.

I don't own the game but I posted a screen shot and the tail fins can turn inward on the toy. I feel like it looks better that way. Technically you can do it however you like but I feel the manual is wrong.

You are correct, Bandai has got the orientation of the tail fins incorrect the entire time. Look at the game screens. The game is also consistent with the original transformation video Kawamori showed off with Legos. You don't have the wings folded over entirely because of the missiles on the hard points but if you did you'd notice the orientation of the folded wing and the tail fins would complement each other if the tail fin were turned inward instead of outward.

FYI, I've noticed everybody is still transforming the YF-30 to Battroid wrong. The tail fins on the back are supposed to fold inward toward the Battroid, not away. That's how the original Lego transformation video Kawamori showed off did it, that's how it does it in the game and the lineart for the game. However, NONE of the Bandai production photos, or even the box cover, do it that way. I feel it looks better as it mimics the orientation of the folded over wing above it.

I suppose I have a bit of a different perspective. It's pretty clear from stories from friends and family that he was a Manic Depressive. He would disappear for days on end, then suddenly appear and be bright, cheerful, put everyone in stitches and then disappear again. That's a terrible way to live, I know, because I have it too. I would say to anyone who is saddened by his passing to think of anyone they may know who is truly depressed and let them know it's okay and they aren't alone. That can make a huge difference in these situations.

To add to what MikeRoz said, in addition to the ankles not being very tight on both of my releases the Gerwalk knee joint is extremely weak. It makes posing in Gerwalk very tricky. I'd liken the weakness of the knee to almost being as bad as the 21/22 were.

The QC on these things is definitely not consistent. The first 30 was ridiculously tight. The second one didn't want to hold Gerwalk without the brace at all. it would flop back. And the connection for the legs in Battroid is, in a word, atrocious. Really, that entire torso connection area is bad. Arcadia would (and has, VF-4) gotten it right. Bandai are still the inept morons they always have been. It could have been the greatest, most poseable, Valk ever made but the connection points are so questionable it's a bit of a fidgety mess to make work. The braces are mandatory if you want to have any fun posing it.

It does swing towards the back, yes. It's not bad, you can slightly pop out the missile box, swing the gear down (if your gear door isn't so tight you'll break the gear door like on one of mine) and then pop the missile box back in.

Uh, no it isn't. You have to pull the missile battery out in order to move the gun and get it out of the way of the gears.

Just a quick comment. I know several people complained about the gold, stained canopy. I do not understand this. It looks EXACTLY like the Gold Dust Treated canopies installed in modern fighters like the F-22. It looks really great.

It doesn't consistently go through there, however. I've had it arrive in CA before via Fed Ex as well. it's already on it's way to Memphis. $20 says I see it Tuesday.

From my perspective, if it was because of the hurricanes, then they were a Godsend. LA customs is HORRIBLE. Send it though Alaska, then Memphis, and it'll hit Albuquerque a full week earlier.

I keep checking my Fed Ex shipping status every twenty minutes... YES! Hitting Anchorage instead of LA. I might just have this thing by Tuesday.
