  1. I didn't know there were any problems with Play-Asia. Bummer.
  2. Give them a break, they're a tiny shop and they need to stay afloat. Remember, Mr K originally said if sales could be completely ignored he'd be all over the rare Valks like the VF-9. The desire is there, but they have to stay afloat. I'm honestly not sure how much desire there is for M&M's by anyone but the people on this board. Maybe, because there isn't a flood of VF-1's anymore they would be more likely to sell out.
  3. Ouch, $270.89 with shipping.
  4. This is what we call "rubbing it in."
  5. He's obviously an ass-man. Hard to tell what is going on in the trailer there. It could just be clever splicing but it seems like Tony might actually be fighting the Hulk of his own volition.
  6. If you could pull that off I'd be VERY interested in what she had to say. Back on topic, singing casting should provide interesting details but not being an idol fan the story and valks are really more my thing.
  7. It's a cool bit of fan art I haven't seen before.
  8. I don't even care if it isn't merchandise, this is going in one of the Star Wars threads because it's awesome. http://www.boredpanda.com/death-star-metal-firepit-grandpa-gift/
  9. Oh no, man! Hopefully not, it looks like an awesome piece too.
  10. It kind of looks like Bandai has really clamped down on the numbers for this release.
  11. Thanks for the suggestion. I just tried this out and unfortunately it did not go as I'd planned. I had no experience with a grinder and not only did most of the surface get smoothed out but I ground a bit into the diecast as well...
  12. I have an extra VF-1J with a questionable shoulder around specifically for my nephew to play with if he wants. Doesn't matter if it breaks really.
  13. I'd be all over a Battle 7 and SDFM SDF-1. I want the capitol ships so hard and unfortunately the only two we've got between Yamcadia/Bandai are the two I really don't like at all. DYRL SDF-1 and the Quarter are weaker designs imo. I pray you're wrong but I wouldn't be surprised if you were right. Given both the the YF-19 and 0D were already in the planning stages at Yamato they were the cheapest to make given some early engineering was already done. Anything beyond this gets more expensive.
  14. Jenius is right, barring the 171CF fiasco there has never been any widespread issues and a few defects are bound to happen (unfortunately.) Pretty cool Yeti hooked him up so fast.
  15. Reissued? Dunno. But given how willing Bandai seems to reuse all of their molds I'm willing to wager they'll have some repaints down the line (maybe one of them will be easier to pre-order...)

Maybe they dug out some old stock just for advertisement purposes and there will be some further refinements or changes but I can say looking at the close up pics of the 1S that looks exactly like the old Hi-Metal series. I know they were supposed to be changing the sculpt to look more accurate/better (which is a good thing IMO, if they fix the look in fighter/gerwalk I'd be extremely happy.)
  17. I didn't get the notification either.
  18. Good idea, we do need more terrain/atmosphere back in the show.

It was even pretty easy to pick up the Tamashii Web Exclusive stuff years after release for relatively cheap. I picked up my Max 1J three years after they were available for only $80.
  20. Missed it again, I was asleep. Everyone praising Bandai is an idiot. This type of thing for EVERY SINGLE THING THEY SELL is complete and utter bullshit.
  21. Thaaaaaaaaat looks stupid. It just wasn't interesting or cool looking. A guy riding ants... not doing it for me.
  22. Wow, I've been tied up in a lab all day today and will be all day tomorrow. I probably won't even snag one of the re-ups anywhere.

They already made the VF-19. Maybe. Though I honestly thought the VF-19 was a poor rendition in the High Metal line, I can't see the YF-19 being better.
  24. I have to wonder just how many of these pieces Bandai are producing. For a big time Valk like the 25's I could see them being popular with a large portion of the Japanese public being as they were featured so heavily in a successful Anime like Frontier. But a valk that was on screen for a second in the second movie? It's all older collectors and the bunch who didn't want to pay for the Arcadia one. How many of those are left, considering most of the older collectors like me actually can afford to buy the $300 Arcadia one as well.
