Looks good, but I would recommend getting comfortable with an x-acto knife and learning to trim your decals. It makes the entire thing look so much better. -
Variable Fighter Books - English Translations

I just find some of the concepts and scenarios they've come up with fascinating. Given that I've never terribly been concerned with "canon" as it pertains to Macross I find any stories told in the universe interesting for their own spins/takes/etc... Kawamori did set up the universe essentially as one potential fan write/re-write anyway. -
And the Non-ster is articulated as well? Is there an estimated price on this?

More shameless self-promotion. A chance to win 100,000 pounds and a summer residency at one of three super clubs in Ibiza for the summer. I NEED votes! https://apps.facebook.com/burnresidency/dj-profile/2015/1062 Also, more relevant to the thread:

I've OCR'd several pages of text before... it's been hit or miss if any of it makes any sense. -
Bit longer than that. Payment is due a week from today but shipping isn't until end of next week... and then there's the time to wait for that. So more like 2 1/2 to 3 weeks.

That blue looks different from the other photos. We really don't know what color this is going to be.

Yeah, but that last scene was a great moment of dark humor.

I think the 19 is a bad example. There's that access hatch you could actually open to make use of that rotating seat if you wanted. A rotating seat in the 0 will never be seen or used. The Battroid mode completely covers that up.

I might as well order one of these too, since Arcadia isn't going to hook me up with an SDFM ever. Interesting that it's in the best sellers section. Is it because it's so cheap, or is it really because NOBODY will make an effing SDFM version?

Same as the old Zero.

When the hell are Bandai finally going to release images of their AoU Sh Figuarts figures... that aren't Iron Man.- 398 replies

Given the cost of the 0D, the 0S can't be far behind. A GBP on a VF-1 is only $170. But on a 0S that would probably top $400 bundled together.

I disagree. With what Arcadia knows now there could be huge improvements in design on the 11. Articulation would be better, fit would be better. Proportions would be better. Then they'd frakk up the ankles...

Captain America: Civil War, on Bluray Sept 13, 2016
Mommar replied to azrael's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The problem with being a "key figure" in Civil War is that Spider-Man doesn't need to be the catalyst, that role can be filled by any number of other super-heroes, and the fallout from that is one of his worst stories ever and has been retconned in the comics for being so stupid. I'm not sure why they need him, really, other than the fact he's my favorite super-hero and I like to see him. I don't want him used in stupid ways, Lord knows the comic book writers are already good at doing that. Unless they've come up with a better way to make him a player in Civil War instead.- 445 replies

Is that what you've been using to help with your translations? With that knowledge I might be able to supplement some of your Master File work. -

Couldn't you refer to it as Gorgon, since that's what Medusa and her sisters were. -
I don't want it locked. You get more poseability like it is now.
-
I would add that the YF-19 re-release also was backward compatible with the Fold Booster. So there's precedent already.
-
I always said it would be smarter, business-wise, if they held off on 0A/S announcements until the D was released because people would see the other two and start dropping the 0D pre-orders.

I love it. Corrupter of souls, this one.

The other thing to remember is that this takes place in Albuquerque, NM. We're only 700,000 at most. It's pretty easy to run into the same people around here.

"and as there are organizations who must conceal their identity, such as special forces, who might willingly use it, it is guessed that even though it is one of the VF-1X, this particular craft was improved upon for absolutely secret military operations. " And, thus, if a story about special forces were ever told we could see any valk return for some reason such as this if Kawamori so chose. Would be a great way to cram a VF-4 back into the mix.

I'm a bit concerned that diecast knee joint is going to cause some restriction in poseability as well.

There is one advantage the Zero has over the 19 in this regard. The Gerwalk is more centered/stable so cranking the ankles one way or another might not be such a big problem. I never really had an issue with looseness on the 17 either. The problem is the 19 is so forward heavy plus Yamato/Arcadia didn't give enough of a thigh pivot to get the legs below the body. Not sure how much further you can tuck the legs below the zero however. It will be reviewed along with the rest when I get mine (hopefully I won't be out of town when it arrives.)
