Well that sucks, my delivery estimate went from Wednesday to N/A.

I don't really understand why they're releasing the D, A and S all in the same year. Seems like a batch of $300 toys would be a bad idea especially considering they said Zero didn't sell well. Unless that wasn't entirely true and it's just their kinda floppy 0's didn't sell well and they think these will do better. And maybe next years new mold will be an updated SV-51.

Interesting pics from Anubis... anybody notice that the color looks different?

Somehow I missed the 10. Then I guess it's just Poor Timothy Dalton then. Though I also don't think Goldfinger was that good. Then again, I think the Connery era Bonds are all horrible.

Given we were never told anything about side covers I'd say it's a no.

Are you sure about that? Because it was on sale at Nippon-Yasan for $140 for months and didn't seem to move. It's back to regular price, but still, it was on sale and it hasn't reached stratospheric mark-up Ozma 29 prices.

They're perfectly justified if they aren't happy with the color. It certainly doesn't look much like what you see in the show most of the time. I do wish I knew Japanese, I wouldn't pull this "thank you for giving me a 0D" nonsense and just go "full American" with my question. Why can you not get the color correct? It doesn't look like the Anime and it doesn't look like the photoshop pics. Many people have cancelled because of this. Why can't you do it? It would be nice if there were bucket loads of pics to go along with it though, so it wouldn't seem like so much of one and not the other. Supposedly mine comes in next Wednesday. If there aren't already pics posted I'll try to take some then. But it's a long wait.

Wow, in that list Connery never even managed a nine. Even Pete Lazonby got a nine for his one shot.

I get the feeling this thing is going to show up the day I have to go out of town...

I guess I'll be the bitchy one who wakes up Tuesday and can't pre-order because I don't stay up all night for pieces of plastic, I reserve that for women only.

So the problem is that we are semi-attributing real world solutions to cartoon/magic situations. Given that it's a spacecraft that operates in space real world applications concludes triplicate in everything. That's how it's done. Granted, Overtechnology possibly surpasses all of the radiation/heat damage issues that may be encountered and situation no longer exists. We've been discussing semi-real world situations and in that instance you'd have to apply all of the situations of space too. I'm perfectly saying "it's magic" and letting it slide. Given that none of that other stuff matters, you'd still want at least two engines because floating about in space sucks.

Did you read the article? It's not happening. It's a semi-prequel that takes place during the initial outbreak in LA. I doubt we'll see any cross-over.

Given they're all aerospace technically the engines should be in triplicate then.

Cool, I'm forcing my nephew to watch it. Too bad it isn't backed with Darkwing Duck, but then I feel like I'm the only person who ever liked that (he was Disney's freaking Batman for Christ sakes it was RIPE for movie treatment but instead we got several, awful, Goof Troop movies.)

I would say a salt wash plus putting it under direct, bright, sunlight. Despite the protests I already posted many pics from indoors/outdoors night-time, etc... and the damn thing never looks the same even in the same scenes. I think it's still darker than the base color should be but I'd bet a particular kind of weathering is probably what would bring out a more accurate color.

Now that I think about it I'm not as sure all three were re-released as I can only think of the Max and Kaki right now. But given there was a four year gap between when I bought the Hikaru and the other two, yeah, they're going to be different. The latter two were "oh crap, Yamato is going under" purchases. And they were super cheap at HKCollectibles as well.

Given it isn't Ozma or Isamu I'm going to assume it won't be as massive a seller. Hopefully.

NY says shipping is being prepped. Bit too bad about the dark colors considering how many weren't going to buy this if it wasn't exactly right.

All three DYRL 1A's were re-released a year or so before Yamato's demise with the new canopy and crotch. My Max and Kaki 1A's don't match my Hikaru because of that.

In some of the Gerwalk pics they appear to have the same ball-joint the VF-17 and YF/VF-19 have.
