  1. What sorts of moving panels are coming up? I think everybody would vote for rubber wheels but whatever makes life easier for you (unless you're a perfectionist) is probably the smartest idea. You've done more than any of us here anyway. What do you mean by make mini-HMMs? Where would you put them? Aren't they all internal payload anyway?
  2. You probably should put those others into the group as well, because they're aren't niche. No, TRU doesn't sell Macross, because it's a niche product sold at niche stores. The collectors market is niche by definition, that makes the store niche as well. Niche fandom, market, item and store. Guess what, some of the Yamato/Arcadia/Bandai Macross toys are also listed on Amazon right now, does that suddenly make them mainstream because they're on the BIGGEST website on the planet? No, and everybody knows who Amazon are.
  3. Thank you. Great information for people to consider. I've mentioned several times that 3P can sell Transformers toys to a world wide market. I just didn't explain the concept of spreading costs around like you have here. There are so many more fans of that property out there that it's easy to spread costs around on larger runs. BBTS is niche dude, even if they sell some widely circulated things like Marvel Legends and Transformers. The store itself isn't know to the greater majority. Toys R Us, everybody knows Toys R Us. BigBadToyStore... only a small minority, even if it is a majority of collectors, still makes it niche.
  4. Dude, you're an absolute bad-ass!
  5. I humbly submit
  6. The Dx valks aren't really in scale. All of the 25's are a bit too small as well. Regardless, this design here is awesome and spot on.
  7. Custom GBP for 1A Max?

Very cool, now the regult is something I've really been waiting for. I hope those knee joints hold up, looks like an interesting mechanism there.
  9. It would be a colossal mistake (not necessarily impossible) to leave the Skull Markings off. They haven't on any of their other releases so I can't see them suddenly doing that here.
  10. Given that you can type in 3D Printing Molds and come up with that website as the very first link I'm going to assume Xigfrid is ignorant of any of the manufacturing process but is trying to argue his point anyway, did a cursory Google search and that was the first link that came up.
  11. You're not confusing paint rub for stress marks are you? The tabs on the legs are painted and the paint will come off when tabbed in and out of the backpack.

It was questionable on the previous releases with the super parts as well.
  13. I've changed my mind, totally not worth it.
  14. Not that much bigger, really. The RVF drones are over half the length of a VF-1 on their own. Almost 10 meters to a VF-1's 14.
  15. Everybody should listen to the podcast about this issue.
  16. I have no idea, I can't read Japanese and have no idea what the story is about. It would be your call.
  17. Well, given that you even you even said that there wasn't much going on with this story I figured I'd support your translation work (because i do appreciate it) but agree with you that certain things probably don't need full translations. I didn't know you were going after every story there is for your own personal growth as well. If you want it all done, go for it, I'll read it. I just felt in the grand scheme of Macross it wasn't really important. I'll add that your use of language is far superior to many fan translated pieces I've read, I finished this story only because I appreciated how easily it read. As for your comment Renato, I'll say it right to his face.
  18. Sooo some sort of clear fiber glass railing is still a detriment? Or better yet, get creative and have railing painted like the wall behind it so that from a distance it blends in.
  19. It's cool you did this, but it really only required a summary.
  20. How are you calculating this???
  21. No, I don't mean a comparison between Domestic versus export, I mean tally all QC issues regardless of where they come from, just don't acknowledge some come from abroad. The info is still valid even if we aren't an actual market.
  22. Exactly, I think this is a HUGE reason for any QC issues we're seeing... minus the awful ankle design which is all their poor engineering. We know legally Arcadia can't address issues for our problems but it would be nice if they could at least tally how many QC issues are found regardless of region, they don't need to acknowledge where it came from.
  23. One of the things Mr K said that intrigues me is that they haven't been informed of some of the QC issues we've brought up. Are some of these things to minor it's only happening to a few people in Japan and to us on the boards or is there some sort of cultural thing where when something goes wrong the Japanese won't bitch-out the company like we will do here. (I mean that in a positive way, I think we have a right to tell a company everything we don't like.) Also, QC changed. It used to be he would travel to the facility where they were being made. Now they just spot-check some boxes at the office. That's a HUGE difference when before you could yell at a manager right there on the floor instead of sending an e-mail or making a call from your office overseas.
  24. Here's the thing, I'm not a model builder. But I'm willing to try for an honest-to-god sdfm version of the SDF-1 because it keeps being short changed for an (imo) inferior DYRL version. When I heard a fantastic model company like Hasegawa was finally making one I was excited. Instead I find it's just a bastardized DYRL SDF-1 and that isn't what I want.
  25. I don't care about some Gundam Kit. I care about the SDF-1 looking right, and this doesn't.
