I have one on order but I still don't think this is going to be a very good release. My issue with them putting this on the fans to keep the line going is they need to make a product worth wanting to go back to again and again. Right now it's a passable 2SS but it's not a great one, and based on the mold not even a good one. It's just the only one. Sure, there is a different prototype version or two coming, but given Tochiro didn't ask things like "does the new mold get rid of those hideous posts for the engines" or "will the fighter actually be shaped correct" plus the fact they weren't aware the giant tabs on Battroid are a problem, it's pretty clear they aren't going to fix the issues we all have. And I think they won't be fixed if they rely on the Japanese market suggestions alone as the culture isn't the type to be direct with their criticisms like we in the west are. At least they have some taste, the 2JA is the better way to go as it doesn't look hideous like the Metal Siren does.

My 29B finally arrived in the mail yesterday. The most glowing review I can give is that it's another piece my Mother commented on (if she bothers to notice something on the shelf at all that's a surprise.) This one, she says, reminds her of the Airforce dress uniforms. This, the 0D and the VF-19F are the three she has commented on at all. Maybe she just has a thing for dark blue planes...

No Gerwalk photos? The 27 has the next best "bird-or-prey" look just after the SV-51.

How is Cap? Based on all of these photos it doesn't really look like Hulk and Cap really mesh with how Iron Man looks visually.

Yeah, both figures have been put back up at Nippon-Yasan several times while I was indisposed. Doesn't much matter, the two I already ordered are paid for so it's not like I can just pull out now if it's a scam. I messaged BandaiOnline and supposedly they claim they'll be shipped after the weekend and asked me to verify my address.

Gun Pods as well. It's not just a unique head sculpt. The entire cockpit area is different as well.

So here's the deal, that pic Mr K showed right there. Your Valk can look exactly like that when you get it. Just apply the decals. That photo shopped image of the VF-19 is FAKE, FALSE, A LIE. With the leg super parts attached there's a MASSIVE GAP IN THE WING ROOT. There's a big difference between something you don't like, and something that was a blatant lie.

They're decals, can you not see it? Not even trimmed decals. And a few extra markings isn't like showing a VF-19 that is transformed in a way that is completely impossible on the real toy.

I'm not convinced the head needs to be larger, just that the chest vanes needs to be a bit shorter so the head is easier to see. And part of the problem is that the gap for the head is too narrow on the toy. It's far wider on the lineart. Good catch on the shoulder thrusters pretty much not protruding at all too. I think the thighs area bit too thick on your new version as well.

Anyone have any more news on their Cap and Hulk pre-orders? Looks like Nippon-Yasan had them back up for a bit while I was asleep but they're gone again now.

This makes no sense given that the toy looks pretty off from the lineart. If you were a design fan you should be let down.

Why, the V2 VF-1 was already an established mold that largely got things right. This, on the other hand, none of us know what the quality is but based on the proportions they're ignoring some pretty large details.

Less than $200 is a lot better but Christ does Gerwalk look bad with that giant, square backpack and the massive pegs with the floating engines.

So people who collect stuff like Marvel Legends do this to fix warped joints/pieces all the time. Take a blow dryer and heat the plastic piece until it's really pliable, then hold it straight and submerge it into ice water for a little while. You can straighten the antennae back out this way relatively easily.
