At some point someone asked him a question concerning making a lot of different paint schemes for the molds and he said it's better to have the one base and let people modify them as they like. That could account for having limited tampo as well, but he never specifically stated that. That's only my own speculation. Or it was just a way to explain away how many poor selling molds Yamato had and why they weren't going to do that at Arcadia. Though I did look into having my own tampo stamps created not too long ago and tampo printing is actually a lot more expensive and tricky than people realize.

Deadpool, on DVD/Blu-Ray May 10, 2016
Mommar replied to miles316's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I've known about Deadpool since pretty much his inception. I've never been a fan of the more modern interpretation because I think he's mostly just immature. I figured this movie would take beats from that but decided to give the trailer a shot anyway. This looks like another X-Men property I will be avoiding. -
I am so sick of USPS. Supposedly my Cap and Hulk are in LA. Maybe they'll get here one of these weeks?

I don't think this movie is going to do very well. Deadpool has his rabid fans, but he also pretty much annoys the frakk out of everybody else. His personality is too polarizing to be successful imo. -
Except for when you have the leg parts on in fighter mode and then the Bandai becomes a gappy wing-rooted, completely non-perfect, mess.
-
You know, all those super parts really need is a swivel so they fold around the back of the shoulder and then slide down and suddenly the 19 looks a hell of a lot better.

So in theory my Cap and Hulk have shipped. USPS says processed through sort facility in Tokyo on the 29th, so it looks like SOMETHING was shipped by BandaiOnline actually, but now I've had no other updates. Either something was faked to look like something was shipped or it actually did and it's just my luck that JapanPost has effed me and lost my package.

This is my plan.

I'd like to compare it myself but I've been waiting for two days and all I've been told is that it's been processed through a sort facility in Tokyo and haven't had a single other update in 48 hours. I hate EMS.

I would like an SDFM Macross in Cruiser Mode if Arcadia isn't going to get off their asses and make a transforming one for me. From the looks of the other ships they've made they're pretty detailed little things.
-
May I add improperly sized and in many cases blurry and smooshed looking.

It's less about them needing to make money as a business and more about the fact that we all know M2 is super niche, we've all wanted a VF-2SS and now here's one that isn't great and we're essentially forced to buy it "or else." Some people say it's expensive, and for a gamble it is a bit higher than I would like. My pre-order at HLJ is roughly $180, which isn't too bad IMO. I wouldn't want to pay Arcadia prices on this as is. But I'd gladly pay $250+ if they fixed the thing and got it as close to the Anime as possible. Right now I have zero faith they will fix this thing in the ways it really needs to be. We've heard these same "it'll be modified" lines from lots of other toy companies before and they've almost always been either flat-out wrong or so minor it doesn't matter.

I was thinking two 0S's since I like it plain and with the armor but with the CF also getting released I'm not sure I want two S now, if only because they take up so much room. And with the release of the 0A Shin next month I am officially and completely out of it.

There is actually a thread for it right here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=42784 But your title is far more useful

I watched a few of the reviews on youtube for these figures and I have to say that they seem pretty disappointing. The choices they made on a lot of the joints makes them extremely limited, especially The Hulk's legs. The fricking Marvel Legends Hulk figure has more articulation there. And they wind up being gappy around the torso. Apparently the plastic feels really cheap too.

Ah, that last bit about the light layer of clear coat is what I needed to know so I can finish my custom VF-4 decals.

No, if my friend Natasha is correct I'm pretty good at missing humor in text form. Oops. That Stormtrooper is the only time she's genuinely expressed awe at a sculpt. The rest are, "that's kinda cool" or "I don't like that." That would be a good idea, sadly there would only be about three videos, they would be thirty seconds long, and it would mostly be brain-damaged stammering. She's been remarkably cool with the whole collecting thing my whole life. She used to hunt for X-Men figures while I was at school. She used to tell me not to worry what other people thought of my collecting in high school. I don't think she's super happy with the fact this stuff takes up so much room but I'm the one who pays for the house/food/etc so it ain't up to her. Back on topic, while I really do love the B scheme I personally think the Ozma is the best looking one overall.
