You don't understand the difference between a mode and a paint scheme.
-
My problem with this idea is that both of those schemes are terrible.
-
Not a single mode of the cutlass looks better than any one mode of the VF-4.
-
You'd figure SDFM VF-1 would be cheaper, though, since Japan apparently doesn't like SDFM as much as DYRL.
-
I suppose it could be worse, it could be Die Another Day.

That just seems to be a YF-30/VF-11 Hybrid. I do like the fact that he has the legs in a rotated configuration but they poke through the top of the airframe at the same time. Kawamori was never done that. Any of the valks with legs that stow in a rotated position are placed beneath the main airframe i.e. the VF-17 and 171. All the rest the legs are kept in a vertical position.

Dammit, that's the theme song? I've hated pretty every theme song in the Craig Bond films except "You Know My Name" and that's only because Chris Cornell has such a great, dynamic range. Sam Smith's voice is the wrong kind of high pitch for my tastes and I find this song too meandering.

Holy Christ Chex, I would KILL for a copy of your SDF-1. It would be $2000+ but totally worth it. It's the most amazing rendition of the SDFM SDF-1 I've seen.

I still think the new fighter from Delta is going to greatly resemble this only with frontier-like curvature/stylings around the intakes/legs/etc...
-
I didn't know you could do that with a butt.
-
In MacrossJunkies pics that nose is only slightly angled down. The legs are bent so that crouch is really deep. My point is that he's not exactly a featured "Character" like Hikaru or Isamu.
-
Oh, even better. Out very own MacrossJunkie has taken pics of his VF-4 in proper Gerwalk mode from different angles.
-
This is actually a mod to make it look like the FB2012 version however they've posed the Gerwalk correct. The shape of the plane still makes it look goofy but at least this person didn't do it wrong and actually used the reverse knee joint, like all Gerwalks do. Something to keep in mind, if you remove the wings you're pretty much looking at a Glaug with a longer snout.
-
Wow, that's fascinating. Especially rendering the lineart in something concrete you can see from every angle. It very much looks like a blend of the old 80's planes with some very 5th gen aircraft. Kawamori is very good at futurism when it comes to aircraft.
-
I swear he's going WAY above and beyond what even the toy companies are doing.
-
Yeah, it may not be the greatest with the long, lanky legs but whoever posed that is an idiot. It can look better than that.
-
That makes three of us.

That's an awful pose/angle/everything. It's an awesome looking brute of a Battroid and it draws a lot of comments from a variety of people when they see mine.
-
Yeah it was.
-
Because the VF-4's Battroid is a bad-ass brute. Also, if only sticking to mainstream heroes... who's the guy flying this grey on grey VF-4 again? It seems like in order to maximize profits they'd want to reuse molds at some point. Though other than the VF-1 and now the VF-0 they've been careful to only release one of each kind of mold. But at this point they either have to start doing brand new, and highly obscure molds, or start doing repaints of already established molds. Of the two, repaints are the cheaper route.
-
What's giving you troubles now?
-
Nobody else is making Regults, Glaugs or Destroids. So there are plenty of things not VF-1 as well.
-
My God, that model of yours is incredible!Xigfrid does what BandCadia don't
-
I'll get a third VF-4 for Gerwalk mode if it happens.
-
What? Casino Royale and Skyfall have been two of the best Bonds.
