I'm with Spanner, I think the 19P looks amazing. It's a unique color, with a unique head and it has the longer wings too. My 19P is one of the few macross toys to have ever been knocked off the shelf. The stabilizer on one of the calves is dented, sadly. It looks like good Battroid battle damage but makes for poor looks in Fighter mode.

If anything it's a pretty nice gesture to Anna Paquine that after being cut from the movie entirely she now gets her own special release of the film that's significantly different. -
Making a Regult work is actually pretty difficult. It's top-heavy and you need really strong, yet small, knee joints. I can't imagine there being any die-cast in the cockpit. That seems like a really bad idea. You'd want it as light as possible up top and put the weight into the feet.

While some of those toys are cheaper I also see quite a few that are the exact same price and several more that range from a little bit more to a whole hell of a lot more.

They also build giant Gundam statues in Japan and in other places across the world. It's safe to assume that Gundam is spectacularly more successful and popular than Macross and those toys can be made in massive batches, which significantly reduces the price of each unit. Regults haven't been relevant since 1983.

Holy crap, $150 for an F?! If you don't want it I'll take it. So by "new version" what do you mean? That's technically a Yamato release, but Arcadia released the 19Kai which the 19F and S are both based on plus Arcadia's YF-19 is based off of those same molds. Also, yes, the 19S and F are the same mold. The only difference is the Gold Stripes versus White on the F and the Head unit has five lasers instead of just one.

That's the thing, I really only like the 27 in Gerwalk. That's why I just got the one and bought some additional super parts from Brera off another member because I think it looks really great in that mode with the super parts. Instead this thing is a mess in that mode. The back portion won't even hold straight on it's own, to say nothing of how bad it gets when you attach the boosters.

"Renewal." It's the Grace/CF version. The intakes really just don't hold at all. The crotch piece will pop off if you try to brace the backpack. It's even worse if you try to use the Super Parts.

In terms of revisiting his past projects and being unable to do anything good with them or make any sense, yes, I'm going to stick by my comment. He should stick to his other projects and stop trying to inject himself back into the Alien world. -
I wonder if they'll do the missile and scout variants sometime. Would be better if those missile pods were gimmicks. Far interesting/useful than an opening hatch.

I didn't even know he was available for pre-order. But I've missed tons of pre-orders for everything now. All of the episode 7 figures, all of the new Movie Realization stuff.
