  1. Yeah, it may not be the greatest with the long, lanky legs but whoever posed that is an idiot. It can look better than that.
  2. That's an awful pose/angle/everything. It's an awesome looking brute of a Battroid and it draws a lot of comments from a variety of people when they see mine.
  3. Because the VF-4's Battroid is a bad-ass brute. Also, if only sticking to mainstream heroes... who's the guy flying this grey on grey VF-4 again? It seems like in order to maximize profits they'd want to reuse molds at some point. Though other than the VF-1 and now the VF-0 they've been careful to only release one of each kind of mold. But at this point they either have to start doing brand new, and highly obscure molds, or start doing repaints of already established molds. Of the two, repaints are the cheaper route.
  4. What's giving you troubles now?

Nobody else is making Regults, Glaugs or Destroids. So there are plenty of things not VF-1 as well.
  6. My God, that model of yours is incredible!Xigfrid does what BandCadia don't
  7. I'll get a third VF-4 for Gerwalk mode if it happens.
  8. It's a fascinating idea but I don't think he has the wing shape correct. I don't believe it looks like a swept forward wing in the official art. I think the style of the wing is going to be more like the Dragon 2 from SDFM. http://www.macross2.net/m3/sdfmacross/dragonii/dragonii.gif
  9. Actually, prior to Yamato folding the 11C was super unpopular. I bought one upon release which was relatively expensive for the time, $180 I believe, but the next year I bought two more at HLJ on sale for something like $140 a piece. They weren't expensive at all for many years.

I'm not mad at anybody for buying three, that's what I was going to do too.

Oh, was Figuarts Captain Phasma up for sale last night too? Dammit.
  12. Ah, and you're rocking the 11C in Gerwalk too. Good man! Although I do have to say as opposed to the nose down look of some other fighters the legs tucked under and body/nose level is a good look for the 11 series in Gerwalk. I'd love a second 19P. Do you have more collection videos?
  13. Everyone has been helpful but I'll try to give a timeline to explain what is going on here. Yamato YF-19 - Plus version, Double Nuts, Bird of Prey. - It's all a very bad mold. Avoid. Yamato VF-19 - Basara, S, F, P varieties. - You're already familiar with the quality. Arcadia VF/YF-19 - Yamato went under and Arcadia bought the mold for Yamato's VF-19 series. They've released the Basara again but with Gold trim instead of yellow and then made a new YF-19 Plus Version based on that VF-19 mold. The new YF-19 was designed so that the Fold Booster made for the old, terrible, Yamato YF-19 mold will work on the Arcadia YF-19 as well. I would personally buy the VF-19P, which is similar to the Basara VF-19, over any of the Yamato YF-19 versions.

And those of us who need to sleep before work and/or are taking care of an ailing mother and have zero time to mash F5 or are too exhausted to.
  15. That may or may not be a smart idea, actually. The armor and booster in the same box so you can choose what you want to put where. Then again anybody who doesn't want one or the other is going to be mad they have to pay so much for something they don't want.

Looks like I get to play wait and see again.
  17. Interesting, I just got an e-mail from NY that the War Machine figure has had its release date pushed up by a week to the 23rd.

I finally got mine yesterday. I've had very little time to mess with it. I'd say some of the design choices in the shoulders and hips really damages the poseability of it compared to the bare hi-metal valk however even still it's more poseable than the Yammie with the armor on. Some very wtf design choices by Bandai, however. It's a cool like figure, it'll pose well next to my Hikaru and Max 1J's and however many Regults I decide to pick up.

It's more like the mold for Basara's VF-19Kai. The Kai has the same streamlined fuselage but it doesn't have the stubby wings of the S or F models. It has longer wings that look more like the YF-19 variant. Plus it has canards near the cockpit like the YF-19 as well. Kind of a hybrid look between the older YF-19 and the newer VF-19S/F variants. It has it's own unique head-sculpt separate from the S/F/Kai versions which I think looks the most like a space-aged Knight. Oh, and it has shoulder speakers you can remove as well. Here's a good example of the longer wingspan in fighter. And here's a good example of the different head sculpt (and shoulder speakers.)
  20. I will say that I don't like how any of the guns look split open on the Frontier valks so I never open them up in any of my uses when in Battroid. All of the 27 poses just looks like he's holding a long rifle. You do get the added visual benefit of being able to hold their arm out a bit further down the barrel.
  21. There is but when the hips keep detaching it removes the tension. One thing I'm going to try is to glue down the crotch cover piece as well because that thing won't stay on and if I put the backpack weight on it it just pops off and you lose tension in the swing bar as well. It's a bit interesting that on all of my 25's it's murder trying to detach the hip pieces and usually the swing bar has too much tension on it, this 27 is completely the opposite. Also, I may have a battroid pose suggestion for you as soon as I can figure out how to post images to this board with my iphone (because my main camera is messed up right now.)
