  1. I'm with Sandman, if I wasn't covering for my Mom's expenses and Medical Bills now I could justify rolling the dice on something like this. But they haven't hit it out of the park. If we're lucky it's a bunt. I can't take that risk right now. I wouldn't the thrilled with how it was turning out even if I didn't have the additional expenses.
  2. The new pics have sealed it for me. I'm cancelling my pre-order. It looks like it's made from $30 materials. Every joint is an eyesore. They clearly did not look at any of the modern Valks produced Bandai or Arcadia. If we never get another 2SS because this sells bad it's none of our faults. It's the fault of Evolution Toy clearly putting out an inferior product at the same price point as an Arcadia.
  3. Funny, one of the things I love about the VF-1. It's light. I don't measure quality by how heavy things are.
  4. Yes, this is true. I'm quite a fan of the Battroid mode.
  5. It's from Flashback 2012 and several video games. People love the fighter mode.
  6. It's a modified version of their DYRL kit. It reuses a lot of parts and it's not just the legs that are DYRL style.
  7. Well, I just meant unfortunate. It sucks what happened with a legitimate flaw since Yamato was pretty much officially done on release day so you had no recourse. That being said, it was a legitimate flaw that can occur in diecast (unfortunately) and that was pretty much the only problem we ever heard about.
  8. Other than one of our poor members getting a piece with poor quality diecast which broke on him the VF-4 is especially solid and is one of the most durable to transform back and forth. While the nosecone crotch piece is difficult to attach, it doesn't feel like it will ever break.
  9. Because the VF-4, at the very least, looks great in Fighter mode. But in addition the arms work just fine, the design of the valk is funky all around and that limits what the toy can do, the arms could be tweaked a little, but it transforms and works beautifully in all three modes. This thing looks like garbage in every mode and doesn't implement anything well at all and looks cheap just in professional pics.
  10. Sorry, yeah. I confuse easily these days.I don't have any of the Figuarts Mario stuff. I always look atthem then skip it. Maybe I'll take the plunge ar Raccoon/Tanooki or SMW Cape Mario.
  11. Apparently my nephew sings this in the backseat when my brother drives him to work.
  12. Who is making that figure?
  13. I went with the Figma Ultron this time. I think it looks better and I feel like Figuarts is phoning in some of their more recent releases.
  14. Except for the fact the Blue on the 0D sometimes appears that way, and the blue highlights on the 0A as well.
  15. See, that's the thing, right? This product sucks. The 2SS is awesome, and it has tons of fans who want one. But this particular toy looks terrible. I'm in the same boat, I'm not sure what to do with my pre-order.

Dammit, I thought you were posting a Regult pre-order re-opening.
  17. This thing looks terrible. And they still didn't fix those tabs on the chest pieces even though we know it was brought up directly.
  18. Yup, totally out of context. Between his forthright manner and dead-pan humor he's easily, and quite often, taken out of context.
  19. Everyone is alive, but by comparison the Zombie's are getting far more living done than my Mom is capable of at the moment.
  20. I had to miss it last night. I was spending all night at the hospital with my Mom and Uncle.
  21. Damn, did not need this right now. Just got an e-mail from Nippon-Yasan. Due to some changes with Bandai Premium Nippon-Yasan can't offer the pay later option and are requesting I pay for the Hulkbuster by the 19th of this month. Bad timing. Really bad timing.
