Speaking on the prequel fights, totally there for the audience entertainment. As someone who has been in several high level hand-to-hand fights, as well as several with weapons (once bladed...) I can say that most of it is positioning. You don't make unnecessary moves or take unnecessary chances while getting into the other persons head and anticipating moves. Having magical, space-wizardry precognition would only make the fights less interesting to witness.

Hmm, one thing I do have to say. Kylo Rens right lightsaber hand WILL NOT stay on.

No, I mean prying the plastic open and potentially weakening the attach point.

I'd love to help you with this but HLJ didn't get off their asses and ship right away so instead of showing up tomorrow they'll be showing up next week on the 29th.
-
No, not really. As both the then largely affordable Yamato 1/60's and the web exclusive Max 1J from the previous Hi-Metal line have shown they languish on store shelves really. Millia especially.

The problem with this is that the hole being used there is also used for transformation and you kind of have to jam the gunpod handle into it. That might adversely affect transformation eventually. It has built in guns, I'm not sure why you really want a gunpod attached though.

Based on the clips we've seen from the show this toy doesn't appear to conceal the gunpod quite the same way. It looks bigger/bulkier here and protrudes far more than in any of the clips we've seen of the animation. It also looks like it's suffering some 17/21 syndrome, like it has to be a bit thicker in order for everything to fit.

I don't think they are, I just think people are stupid.

I guess I should get some Shapeways balls just in case as well.

Supposedly my two 0S's will be in on the 29th.

STAR WARS Merchandise Episode - 2

Are you kidding me? I've seen exactly one of the Black Series X-Wings that has straight laser cannons. -
Does it seem like it's the same as the 0A/D or different? Given it will have to support the extra weight from the Protect Armor it would make sense that it needs to be tighter.

This isn't that surprising really. When Hasbro had voting at SDCC 2015 for new Legends toys every idiot on the planet kept voting for Black Suit Spider-Man, like that wasn't going to get made anyway especially considering they have a million Spider-Man molds that could easily be repainted for it. Instead of voting for the new/more interesting molds a bunch of idiots went for that. So, yeah, even if some other HiMetal Destroids or Enemy mecha are more interesting you're still going to have a HUGE, idiotic, portion of the population vote for the easiest repaint option over something more interesting or rare. It's nice to see the Monster in first place though, at least somebody has their priorities kind of right.

Those markings are included on all of the VF-0 toys. They'll be here too. So the hips are feeling alright on this one?
-
With all of the tweaks Kawamori did to the 31, why not include a hinge on the wings to swing closed behind the back in Battroid instead of folding backward like all of the other 24 variants? Maybe they're keeping the Gunpod functions a secret just like the other modes of the SVF-262?

Fighter looks great, gunpod looks excessively large/chunky sticking out from the bottom compared to that bit of footage we can make out in the animation so far though. Love the color scheme. I want the CF version without the pointy wing bits.

I've made the case for customization before. In this instance an S type model in white and gold with skull markings... Kinda seems like you should just finish it off and make it UN Spacy because we're clearly buying Roys Valk. While I felt the A and D both looked fine without all of the marks this looks unfinished with only most of the major markings.

After getting home I compared the Figuarts Stormtrooper to the Hasbro one. While the troopers are shown to be different sizes, etc... in the movie. The difference in scale makes the two figures look different standing next to each other. I'm not sure they would mix. Looking at the two versions of Movie Realization Vader there are LOTS of other differences. The Mask overall is different. I don't know what those bits are called that come down on the sides but the Imperial Vader has much longer one's and his mask has a look of a wide open mouth. The Death Star Vader mask overall more resembles Darth Vaders actual mask while the Imperial Vader has what is closer to a traditional Samurai mask.

I love the way the 25F looks with the Tornado parts on in Gerwalk but I just do not trust leaving those wing bits on. It flexes the tiny backpack joints way too much for me to feel comfortable. -
Oddly, the 0A/D missing the UN Spacy on the legs didn't look out of place to me at all. But with the additions of the Skulls this one it does look a bit bare. Luckily for me I enjoy trimming and place decals so it won't be a problem but I think they should have done the tampo this time around.

Christ, I forgot I ordered two of these things... and the Revo Ultron. $677 slapped on me today, and the car still needs repairs paid for.

So Figuarts Stormtroopers and the Death Star Version Movie Realization Vader arrived today. Advantages to the Figuarts Stormtrooper. Actually poseable, unlike the horrible, not-even-able-to-bend-their-arms-at-fifty-degrees Hasbro Versions. Sculpt looks great. Armor all around works just like the clone troopers as far as I can tell. Downside, only comes with the blaster rifle, unlike the Hasbro one which also has a little pistol sidearm. Also, the blaster cannot be mounted on the leg armor like the Hasbro version can. But there is a fold down stock on the rifle, no doubt to be used with Snowtroopers, etc. Also, the feet don't appear to be completely flat. There's a slight curvature upward as you move towards the front of the foot that makes the figure want to fall forward. Such an odd thing to include. Vader. Okay, this mold has more differences than I realized. It basically looks like the right hand has the gauntlet removed and looks more steam-punk/cyborg mechanical underneath. it's very cool looking. Obviously it has an additional holder for the second sword/scabbard on the belt. The giant Death Star thing on his forehead is a separate piece and slides on to an INCREDIBLY tiny bit of plastic on the front of the helmet. If this thing takes a nose dive off a shelf expect it to break. Odd decision to make considering the helmet is so dark you could have included a larger hole for the death star to peg into and you couldn't notice. Otherwise it's pretty much the same figure. If I had to choose I'd say this Vader looks far more interesting and the giant Death Star crest on his forehead pops out much more than the tiny, dark Imperial logo from the first release. I'd recommend the Death Star Version.
