Star Trek Beyond (the not The Search for Spock)
Mommar replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I have the exact same problems with Episode VII that I have with Into Darkness, I feel like Trek and Wars were both damaged by those films and JJ is the common thread there. I hope Lin and Johnson both help to correct that.Though Lindeloff is terrible, I also blame Ridley Scott. Promethus was his movie and he should have been able to veto anything that was bad but he didn't, JJ as well for Trek and Wars.- 466 replies

Star Trek Beyond (the not The Search for Spock)

I like this idea a lot, it still wouldn't have fixed the transwarp bazooka non-sense or the fact not-Khan had the dexterity and strength of Spider-Man and they made him pretty much invent all of Starfleet technology after the events of the first film, and super-blood. But that plot beat would have been great.- 466 replies

What do you mean bu "missing?" Like what I still want but don't have or just everything that's ever been released that I never bought? If it's what I still want it's a very short list: VT-1 VF-1D Virgin Road VF-11B (No idea why I skipped that one) Blue version of the Ghost (I don't remember what it's called right now)

I bought two regular Regults. I'm banking on a heavy artillery, small artillery and scout Regult being released (fingers crossed) then I can have five of them flanking my Glaug.

I wouldn't say any other Star Trek besides The Motion Picture drags but you're right that JJ gets by making movies that go so breakneck fast they gloss over the issues (which I still maintain Episode VII does as well.)- 466 replies

I don't know what those numbers are about but Tangled is right, Into Darkness is an utter mess. V is the worst of the Original cast films bit it's far from the worst Star Trek movie overall, Into Darkness is the clear winner followed by Nemesis- 466 replies

Did you scan that or find it online? I was trying to track down the different master file GBP schemes but couldn't find any online.

Star Trek Beyond (the not The Search for Spock)

Star Trek V is bad, it isn't as bad as people say it is. And that scene is actually a really good example of the examination of the human condition I've always argued Star Trek was best at. This new trailer has moments of that, that bit of discussion between Kirk and Bone's motivation. It's from the perspective of a younger person who isn't self-assured but it's still the right kind of angle for Star Trek. Simon Pegg clearly knows this and some of the other visuals (I really like the idea of showing how the warp bubble functions) thanks to Justin Lin means I'll give it a shot.- 466 replies

To be honest the orignal cast shines in the films more than the actual series.- 466 replies

There's a couple of different schemes in the VF Master File books.

That's actually how most music made specifically for a movie or television show is handled still.

I'll be damned, they are white. Weird. Also off-putting enough that I'm not interested.

Because they still want to show off what they're working on even if all of the mechanisms havn't been finalized. We already pointed out Kawamori came up with some questionable attachment points for the super packs which may not be very easy to make work on a toy. The 31 must have taken longer to tweak than the 262, either that or the 262 looked harder to make so they tackled and completed it first. If the 31 was only just recently finished it would stand to reason they haven't got a completed kit to put out on display just yet but it's only a matter of time until a finalized copy can be created and replace the older demo copy they printed.

They announced on Twitter the other week that 31 development was complete. I'm not sure what it is you're up in arms about here.

Thanks for highlighting that, I couldn't tell it was there, certainly not prior to seeing the episode. Oh hell, don't I feel like a dope. Looks like they used the arm cannons in episode 6 as well. That's what I get for watching on a phone in my Mom's hospital room.

I'm not sure it "follows" anymore than it actually displays exactly what that would look like from another perspective.- 466 replies

With the fins turned so high I can see the Anubis connection however I don't recall those fin bits turned so high in the actual anime. With the fins set lower it looks nothing like Anubis.
