  1. So I just got back from seeing Spider-Man and I'm... pretty disappointed actually. It's not a good thing when you start checking your watch during a film. I'm not a fan of all the changes they've made to the supporting characters from Spider-Man's past, more on that in spoilers. The filming of the action scenes is messy, bouncy or just plain obfuscated by special effects/lighting. It was frustrating to watch in may instances. It really wasn't terribly funny for the most part. The funniest bits were in the commercials and weren't in the actual film either. That's becoming too common in films today. I rate this below Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man, and even the first Andrew Garfield Amazing Spider-Man. I hate to say it because I really wanted to love it, Spider-Man is my favorite comic book character, but they did not nail this. The very last after-credits scene is really great though. And Happy is pretty great too.

    Hi-Metal R

Any chance of seeing these in the other two modes?
  3. They're non-trivial if the tower activates immediately when the level starts and the Lynel decides to gun right for you to unprovoked.

I wonder if Bandai anticipated this release being less popular and the price being a bit higher reflects how many units they could sell/should make. No doubt this would be more popular than the ET version which immediately looked bad and didn't prove to be anything more than that at release. Though even that release may have shown there was more demand than previously thought. The 2SS always had a vocal minority who loved the fighter mode especially and this version gets that the most right so far.

The Blue and Red 2SS's are a brilliant idea. If I weren't strapped for cash I'd likely buy three of these and paint two of them just like that.
  6. FUUUUUUU...!!! Made it all the way to the last room of the Trial of the Sword and the Lynel was unusually aggressive right off the bat and killed me.

    Macross figures

The figures look cool but I have no use for a troupe of dancing girls. I hope they try some of the classic characters. I'd love the full SDFM Roster

Despite losing my job I can't skip on this. I've been waiting a long time for a really good version of the 2SS and I'm not going to miss out now.
  9. This was poorly conceived from the beginning. The single solitary time the Inhumans were ever interesting in the comcis is when they took over the Kree Empire during the Realm of Kings through Inifinity storylines. Otherwise they're boring and stupid and ate best left as a footnote in most Marvel stories.
  10. I think the point is you can hop right back to where you were. Would be super helpful for farming dragon horns, etc.
  11. What does the travel medallion do that changes the game so much?
  12. Dang, Mezco is pumping out summer exclusives!
  13. I don't know, he's pretty enthusiastic about Trek in general. And has said many times he was willing to come back and direct more Trek TV and movies if asked.
  14. I know, Padme is due today and Batman/Strange are due tomorrow for me. D is a higher up in the Articulated Comic Book Art community and I think he has connections with these toy companies. The guy in the Padme video apparently pays through the nose to get his figures over-night shipped when released so he has them first for review. I'm oddly okay with Strange's plastic cape this go around, considering the Bale Batman cape wires are too stiff according to D's review.
  15. Where are you already getting the Homecoming wave???
  16. I'm not sure it's really connected to the movie other than for convenience, and it's awfully early for that. When it comes to the X-Men it's difficult because so many fans like so many different iterations of the characters. A lot of people like the Jim Lee Cyke we already got but others were bummed they couldn't get the Claremont version. Plus stores only want toys that have a connection to a film. This was a way for them to put out the Claremont version of Cyke (and the much requested Dark Phoenix) and claim it's related to a movie project.
