What does shipping from hlj look like these days? Also does hlj allow for paying in yen now? It displays all items in usd for me.

Casey Jones makes a lot of sense.
-
I'd prefer the version of General Hawk with his jet pack.

Nightwing is cool.

Or just buy from the Japanese eshop. It's simple to setup.

STAR WARS Merchandise Episode - 2
Mommar replied to Black Valkyrie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
They finally make a human figure and it's gotta be from one of the Disney Crap shows. -
Don't get me wrong, I want all of them. I think if their production were faster I'd be less irritated with their odd deviations, especially considering how they just keep rolling along on the DC side with everything from Hush and Return of Superman. We know they're capable of filling out rosters.
-
I don't know about hope they'll complete anything yet. They're deviating in weird ways with the X-Men. Jean looks great but we don't have any of that team, really. More AoA is cool but Magneto, Wolverine and Cyke don't go together in that world really (Wolvie and Cyke look incredible compared to the half-assed trash Hasbro put out.) No sign of more Blue/Gold which we're the furthest in on. Iceman, Beast and Archangel would have made the most sense to show given they would cover both Blue/Gold and X-Factor teams.

Evil Ryu is okay but I'd rather he come with an alternate normal head so he looks like he's one of the standard alt colors. I'd like a dark grey and a blue gi version of Ryu.
-
Except for the movie properties I'm becoming concerned how many of their One:12 figures appear to be getting One:10 heads.

frakk yeah. MM and SF look bad-ass! Holding out on showing the larger bodied characters though, Jada.

Your most recent Macross or toy purchase! General thread.

Yeah, that's my Orguss. I feel like I'm the only one who received it so far? I was handling the Orguss along side the Max VF-0S and the Orguss honestly feels like a different caliber of toy. Closer to a DX Chogokin quality in plastic, paint and details. HMR's were cool but never felt really great to me. It really stands out on the shelf. -
There's a swappable extension brace the backpack attaches to in various modes. You could probably 3d print one with a wraparound attachpoint for the booster and fit it as needed with a model part, etc. If I recall the booster is a bit undersized on the Orguss Valk anyway. A smaller scale VF-1 kit might work fine.

It's pretty heavy. Bot and Plane modes are pretty solid. Tank and Gerwalk are fiddly/irritating though. -
After fidgeting more the robot mode is the clear winner. Tank and Gerwalk-like are really fidgety which is unfortunate because I like my planes with legs, fighter mode holds together real well though. Fans of larger/heavier toys will be happy with this one.

It's more like 6.7" or 6.5". Bigger than a Marvel Legends, et al but not quite a MacFarlane.

Just arrived. It's a big sucker. Only the Monster and officer's pod are bigger. Leans closer to a seven inch scaled figure. A little finicky to pose so far, though.

If you look at the history of toys, and specifically action figures, basically there were no real figure properties outside of the long-running Barbie and a long dormant GI Joe until Star Wars released in 77. Once the licensing arms race combined with the removal of regulations preveneting Hasbro/Mattell/etc from producing half hour toy commercials kicked off we had all of these toys. Outside of a few seemingly evergreen properties (TMNT), some smaller or occassional upstarts like Fortnight and foreign markets (because Japans toy market has always been different) I can't see how figures will exist in the same capacity as they do now with the late 30's to late 40's crowd aging out. We basically started buying figures at age 8 and haven't stopped. But younger generations don't care, it's like a return to the 70's prior to Star Wars.
