  1. If there was ever a chance I'd get married I'd still steal this idea.
  2. HLj has the VF-11 book listed now. Still no CDJapan though. https://hlj.com/variable-fighter-master-file-vf-11-thunderbolt-sof60030
  3. In the comic book versions they both have HUGE reactions to each other. Pete less so because he’s already dealt with his side for quite a few years and he ends up coming off like an over-protective brother.
  4. Reviews of the Discoprise have been good but I’m not sure I want a giant XL version. Are there any regular size Eaglemoss Enterprise models you could compare it next to or do you only do XL? I skipped on the XL C because that effer was just too big next to anything else and my shelf is pretty much done with now.
  5. Mystique is still due out February 22nd. Target Exclusice Captain Marvel in Binary form is due out in February. Walmart Exclusive Captain Marvel in Green Costume is due out in February. Rumors are the X-Force wave is only six figures and no BAF, like the vintage waves have been. Still no word on figures but it’s highly likely all are repaints with this news. IE, X-Force Wolverine, X-Force Psylock, X-Force Forge, etc... Three Avengers waves for this year: A1: Out in April, comic wave. Eight figures. Hercules, Living Laser, Nighthawk, Loki, Citizen V, Union Jack, Beta Ray Bill. BAF is still unknown. A2: First Endgame wave. Out July 1st. A3: Second Endgame wave. Out October 1st.
  6. I missed out on all available sites except for NY and they're quite a bit more expensive so I went with BBTS because I can get it with FedEx and they won't extort me on shipping like NY does. All told it's about $190 with shipping. The base cost is higher, at $179, but shipping is $11.24 for FedEx. Because it's BBTS it'll be a month later than all of the import shops.
  7. My Mezco Defenders Doctor Strange finally arrived today. He poses well with the other three of the four Marvel Legends Defenders members I have (we need a new Red She-Hulk to complete the group.)
  8. Eh, it’s not news until we know what the figures are. We already knew X-Force and X-Men vintage were pretty much a guarantee. I just wonder how much of a let-down the Vintage wave will be.
  9. Dude, it’s a shout out to the end out of Infinity War when 50% of the Galaxies population disappears. They’re implying the other three turtles and Splinter all dissappeared too.
  10. I truly don't understand the issue here. I went and looked at a lot of my older figures and I'm not sure where these strange elbows are coming from. I've looked across my collection and don't see any of that. And it's not like I don't own very many, I have 24 on the shelf right now (and 22 more on pre-order!)
  11. If you look at the old comics this armor is a goofy anachronism. But between the finish and the additional little tech details it really brings out a modern feel to it that's somewhat believable somehow. It definitely rises above the original design and has actually made me a fan of the older look in the comics.
  12. Iron Man is not their best figure though he is very cool I could easily point out some failings. Popeye, 5 Ronin Wolverine and Doctor Strange (minus the crap elbows) are all amazing and better than IM. Hell, regular and black suit Spidey are pretty great too. And all of their Batman figures have been phenomenal. The Punisher figures are all great. Red Skull too. Most of the clothed figures have been fine, their only real hangup has been ankle pivot and it looks like the Dawn of Justice Tactical Suit Batman has finally fixed that issue. And the occasional odd fabric choice. A few of the original figures I have fabric issues with but they aren’t major complaints. The Hulk is one of the primary absolute screw ups.
  13. The Marvel Now IM is pretty cool too but I think the Red and Gold really does it more justice. The Black obfuscates a lot of mold detail. I’m just waiting to see what the Stealth version is like now. I hope they attempt an early 90’s War Machine now. With improved leg drop mechanism. That’s one of my few gripes about this IM. Also Mezco’s, or maybe it’s BBTS, distributer blows. I’m weeks later than everyone else getting these figures. I had time to cancel the POS Gladiator Hulk but I’m seeing reviews for both the Marvel Now Doctor Strange and Ragnarock Thor figures and there’s no sign of movement from BBTS on either of those for me yet.

    Bandai DX VF-31

Looks good but I can't understand why you can't stand it. I think it looks great on it's own sans armor. Of course I have mine loaded up with eight reaction missiles.
  15. This is the single greatest classic-style Iron Man figure ever made.
  16. The click sounds like the mechanism inside is rotating when it should stay put and whatever is rotating it nside is forcing the plastic open.
  17. I figured I’d comment on this once I gave all three modes a work over. I think it’s just physically too big for me to collect any more of them. The 1/60’s take up enough space as it is and this thing is pushing VF-0 levels of size. The HMR style shoulders are, imo, the only true improvement over the Yamcadia design. Priest collar still exists, nose cone still sits low, wings still extend down really far. Everything else is an oddity or downright frustrating. The airbrake on the chest will not sit flush for me, the wing ailerons are finicky and get in the way of posing (and aren’t accurate), as does the loose hinged nose cone and the really loose lower leg flaps. If you’re going to make the gunpod that ludicrously over sized at least integrate the shoulder strap. Seriously, the gun pod looks stupid huge attached in fighter mode. To be honest the entirety of the thing is too big and blocky in Fighter in my view. It’s interesting, not bad, not the incredible improvement you would think. Just a tad better in some spots but ultimately too big for me. Also, it’s too heavy. Those thigh swivel joints are loose and the extra weight of the Valk makes more dynamic poses in Gerwalk dangerous. Same issue as on the VF-0 and the 25/27/29 series with super/armor/etc. All Arcadia need to do is improve hip articulation, swap the knees/ankles to be like the VF-0 and change the shoulder transformation and theirs would be superior in pose and look. Plus I like my Valks light, not heavy.
  18. It’s weird they haven’t released more toys. In the Hasbro circles lots of toy collectors have been pushing for six inch, Marvel Legends/Black Series-style, figures for years and years.
  19. This is what I’m waiting on too. And they’ll ship books FedEx.
  20. Well I did a video review of the Hulkbuster Mk 2 but it’s honestly terrible. Lighting, sound, everything. I need a better setup. Also if I could develop a better narration voice. Lol
  21. No, it was not worth the price at all.
