    I agree that the Flash Gordon era ships were indeed great, but they closer they got to the OT timeline, the weaker the designs became IMO. What I do like is the lineage of the Stormtrooper design, from the Clone Trooper to the recent iTrooper. It's amazing that the McQuarrie/Johnson machines are cultural icons, and nothing comes up to fill their footsteps.

    The slimmer nacelles on Wave's version look just sexy. And they prove that they understand Kawamori's designs with their Crusher Joe products IMO.
