Mirage in progress

I agree that the Flash Gordon era ships were indeed great, but they closer they got to the OT timeline, the weaker the designs became IMO. What I do like is the lineage of the Stormtrooper design, from the Clone Trooper to the recent iTrooper. It's amazing that the McQuarrie/Johnson machines are cultural icons, and nothing comes up to fill their footsteps.

I don't know what the concept designers are doing. It's The Prequels all over again.

STAR WARS Merchandise Episode - 2

A whole lot of new Ep.8 stuff announced from Bandai, but the kits are mostly recolors & tiny mods http://www.taghobby.com/archives/category/9-0/星球大戰-star-wars Lots of Figuarts, too - the Royal Guards come in different flavors, I like the strong asian design motives. -
For a great VF-2SS, look no further than Bandai's Hi-Metal R!

The slimmer nacelles on Wave's version look just sexy. And they prove that they understand Kawamori's designs with their Crusher Joe products IMO.

The new walker's "face" is over-decorated IMO. They're leaving the iconic WWII-aesthetics from the OT with that style.

I can't even imagine how this thread would be on flames if George Lucas had presented us the space hamtaro and the toad nuns.

^ ideally, you'd work in front of a window. The more light & reflections you have, the easier it is to see the the coverage of the fresh paint. For gloss colors, I usually work as wet as I can, so you want to see the point where the paint almost runs from the surface. _ After all the prep work, the LED Mirage finally starts to look like something
