    Thanks, wm. The Draken is Hasegawa's superb kit, the Viggen from Sweden's small model company Tarangus, formed by two Saab enthusiasts. Here's more of the Thunderbolt, I'm struggling with my camera to get some decent shots for composite work.

And it looks like you mastered that airbrush. _ Reinforcing my scandinavian air force After looking at that Delta aberrations for so long, I had the urge to go for the real thing. A beautiful design, like a formula 1 car; the Viggen looks like a truck against it.

    I think it's more a case of artificial shortage to enforce impulse buying before you think too much about the amount you'll shell out.

    I could look at Yamashita's sketches all day long. I like his earlier work a tad better, but the way he develops shapes still ties my brain in a knot.

    Just got word from HLJ that Hasegawa will produce 1/72 kits of the Fighter-1 in their Creator Works line! I also wouldn't mind a Minerva in 1/200...

    These 1/100 kits are pretty good for alternate paint schemes. More pics of the VF-2SS, please!

    Very nice with the overall balanced weathering. For dealing with exaggerated panel lines: Leave off the wash or do a very light one.

    I never quite got the purpose of digital (not splinter or dazzle) camo, other than screaming "21st century!" and looking nice occasionally

    Looks like the Bandai kit is as good as 1/72, just the pilot is undersized.
