  1. Great finish, I like the color palette and the degree of weathering.
  2. @Big s The kit is well engineered, but comes with it's own challenges: The way the joints are designed, you're better off if you paint all parts separately (you'll also profit from the color separation that way), but then you'll have to be extra careful not to mix left and right parts (and the differences are very subtle sometimes) when putting things together. I also recommend not to deviate from the sequence of assembly given by the instructions. Due to the tight tolerances, it's very difficult to pry the parts apart once you made a mistake. Widening the joints with a file also helpt to improve mobility and ease the assembly. @Rock If you click on any of my embedded pics, it will take you to my flickr. I also got around to set up a Twitter account for my modeling activities. The V-Siren was painted with Tamiya acrylics as usual. I used gloss paint without additional clear coats; some of the larger areas, especially on the shoulders, were polished with Tamiya compound. The kit dates back to 1995, it has a slightly complicated history with a struggle between sculptor, producer, and distributor, and as a result, as I understand, was never properly licensed, so it's not visible in the MH publications. Volks released a somewhat lumpy 1/144 version.
  3. A rare & pretty wild kit was finished by Katsuyoshi:
  4. There's more today:
  5. @Thom do you mean Tekkaman Blade or the V-Siren? It's from Five Star Stories, and there's more of it here. Info is on Gears Online.
  6. You must have missed this shiny blue boy then Since the Tekkaman Blade design is already pretty flamboyant, I figured I might as well go full candy coat on it. The Wave kit's quality is great, but some parts need a lot of pressure to go into the final position, so watch out for your paint.
  7. Tekkaman it is!
  8. That's it for today
  9. Take a break from the madness with this straightforward masterfully weathered VF-1
  10. This one is for @MechTech
  11. Since some people around here were on the lookout for the Aoshima Airwolf: It is in stock at Hobbysearch and can be ordered at HLJ.
  12. Trying to turn the old 1/144 Gp01 into the Wave kit design was one of my first modding projects 20 years ago. It's still in a box somewhere.
  13. The concept art pieces so far have been the best things to come from Mado & Fett IMHO. Unfortunaltely, they may have lead to the idea that the shows write themselves if you basically stick these "wouldn't it be cool..." scenes together.
  14. How about a nice slap in the face?
  15. I was expecting more from Bandai after the merge, but it just didn't happen. The Koto kits are nice, but the prices are far out there.
  16. Always a pleasure to entertain you, guys. How it started - - - > How it's going
