The 'Hey look at this really cool model build I saw' post

Wow that's quite a surprise! Looks like the parts are color separated like their Crusher Joe line. I hope for Regult, Q-Rau & N-Ger in the future.
-
Let's build another Harrier. @arbit The lighting was good, audio could be louder IMO, and good focus on the little details.
-
Looks like a true labor of love! You know that when you finish it, Hasegawa will release the YF-29 injection kit, following Bandai's Chogokin?

@Thom that PE looks the part! _ I took more shots of the Night Raven and pasted it onto another Terragen backdrop: Some more pics on Flickr @Urashiman that is the Kotobukiya 1/144 plastic kit. Their Ace Combat line is awesome, but very pricey IMO. Of course I couldn't avoid the Night Raven. @Gabe Q It's a small kit with few parts, day 1 is prepping the parts and paint the white inlet & exhaust and the scramjet engines, day 2 mask the white areas, assemble the upper and lower hull and prime everything in black, day 3 dark blue panel shading (that actually took two hours).

I managed to finish the Night Raven over the last weekend; awesome little kit, and a nice desktop art sculpture. The stencil pattern and blueish black were taken from the Electrosphere version.

Finished my weekend build of Ace Combat's X-49 Night Raven.

Remember the Star Wars 1946 kits I made last year? I got just deep enough into Terragen to put them in front of a nice background:
-
@joscasle That looks just great! Apparently, you had a good modeling year.

He should get hired as a script doctor, but maybe that would prevent too many movies from being made...

I watched the Danish original and found it really cool from it's concept & intense in it's delivery. I have yet to check out the new movie.- 1514 replies

Holy Idol Madness! That's brilliant.

Firstly, I'm glad he gets onto the Incal before Luc Besson does. Secondly, I found Ragnarok the most entertaining Marvel movie, Waititi has a great sense of timing and can handle the visual madness. Who would you choose for a director (and cast while we're at it)?
-
The Incal was among the comics that melted my brain in my teen years. I was hoping we would get to see it's Emperor concept in the next Dune chapter, but this way it's even better. I think Waititi can pull it off, but he'll need at leat three movies. And there's a lot of nasty & reeeeally esoteric stuff in there.

Just a really cool build of the Hase battroid: -
@MechTech The turret looks a tad large for the body. But I don't know anything about tanks... _ I collected my photos of the V-Siren Mortar Headd in a new Flickr album: V-Siren

While their introduction scene with the ceremony was great, the uniforms were a bit lacking IMO, as they (again) mainly look like guys in Hazmat suits. I found the Harkonnen soldiers much more intimidating. https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/movies/story/2021-10-22/dune-harkonnen-design-denis-villeneuve

I found it more fitting to make her a creature of the night, hence the different hair, too. Looks good in daylight also. The base color is a 1:1 mix of semi gloss black X-18 and dark sea grey XF-54, which has a nice warm tone to it. The shading was then done with a 3:1 mix, the other parts are pure black. The cast had simple tube stubs for the energy bits, I replaced them with casts from Kotobukiya thrusters.

Impressive:
