  2. Thank you very much for the appreciation! The PA is a Fujita design, but I wanted it to push towards the FSS side, as you noticed, so I lengthened the ankles, the midsection and the neck. The leaner MSG hands and the modified elbow joints work in the same direction. The massive anti-ship missiles would have countered this concept (IMO they are too large even on the original kit). I considered just using a light color here, but in the end I made new missiles from plastic rods. Coincidentally, they emphasize the Uma-jirushi appearance that might have been the base for the wing design. Limiting the additional details also works nicely for actually finishing a kit πŸ˜„
  3. For fans of those crazy Zeta designs: I finished the HGUC Pallas Athene with little modifications. More pics about the building process are in my flickr album.
  4. Easy fix – just make your own missiles πŸ˜… I didn't like how the original weapons put so much weight outside of the graceful silhouette of the MS, so I went for a lighter design. Just plastic rods with a tapered tip and added microstrips, and I went for a retro animation color. You still have make 8 of them and fix them on the kit πŸ€ͺ. This is the result so far:
  5. We have boxart, and it does not disappoint.
  6. You'd think that Tron is a pretty recognizable brand with unlimited merchandise potential across all ages. All it needs is a more compelling narration that A) roots it deep in the 80s retro game vibe culture or B) makes it more relevant in the recent tech/AI development background. Ares was neither, and the narrative failures finished it off IMO.
  7. Just remake the OG Tron with state of the art CGI, but keep the 80s vibe.

  9. Just some high-level fanart from the box of Tamiya's latest F-14D release for you Tomcat lovers. (Not Tenjin's work, btw)
  10. If you wait a bit longer, it will be cheaper to pick it up in person...
  11. @Papa Rat The colors look awesome; if you're not too inclined towards the nostalgia I'd suggest trying on some third-party hands – this would greatly improve the overall appearance IMO. _ Pallas progress:
  12. RIP Legend of poster art. @TangledThorns he had just one day to finish the poster for "The Thing". Apparently, Robert Rodriguez bought the original painting:
  13. Just another day at the office.
  14. Test shot of the 1/72 HMAGARAGE F-15 Kai
  15. The recent issue of Scale Aviation is about Royal Space Force and filled with crazy model & photography works:
  16. Coincidentally, I'm just watching Mann's 1981 neo-noir classic and Proto-Heat movie "Thief". James Caan's hard working criminal, rain-soaked night streets and Tangerine Dream's memerizing soundtrack still hit hard. The streaming version has excellent picture quality.
