What's lying on your workbench? MKII
electric indigo replied to TSP's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Dorvack > Ma.K. Well, almost. I dusted an old friend: -
The Supersylph is a big bird, the model should be 22 cm long.

I never noticed before that the pilot can't see a thing when the main gun hatch is opened...

Could it be that their system is still acting weird lately? Check the Battle Angel Alita figure thread.

1/6 scale Hot Toys Appleseed Figures
electric indigo replied to EXO's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I'd say that the Takara Deunan doesn't stand a chance against the Hot Toys one. Briareos looks phantastic in the newest incarnation. And those guns are spectacular. -
I'm glad that they decided to include the FAND-1, besides the obvious choices.

It was somewhere in the WF 2007 coverage. Alter had also a poster on display that I think I've seen at Omo Ole before The line is announced for a 2008 release. And there's still their very decent looking 1/100 Supersylph to come.

Hmm, the Platz kits have been postponed to Jan. 18th, instead of, like, August, which gives me some hope they might make it this time. -i-

Wow everbody went into turbo mode in the holidays. I think you should lengthen the nose a bit while you're at it. -
Same here with the bounce probe thing. They surely messed up their system for good. BTW does the figure have two heads? I notice that the eyes look in different directions in the closeup photos.
-
Somebody obviously had his head cut off at HLJ
-
If you're not afraid of paint, go for the Medicom toy I still have hope for a proper toy/kit.
-
Are there additional street scenes in the workprint that didn't make it into the Final Cut?
-
Same here. So far for pre-ordering...

Hobbysearch has pic of the Hellhound up >clicky< Surface detail is not too great, and I think they did a rather boring paintjob on the demo kit.

Wow. What's the thingy hovering behing the Rex (not the chainsaw skull)? -
I wonder why the city explodes. Collateral damage from the military's actions?
-
Found it: http://www.themist-movie.com/ directed by Frank Darabond (The Green Mile), so I will keep an eye on it. I wonder if Cloverfield will go Blair Witch all the way, i.e. everything we get is the handheld tape, nothing is explained, everybody dies. Better stock up on Aspirin.

There was a Stephen King short story in which a milityary project ripped open a door to another dimension, and in came not one big specific monster, but a whole wildlife of mean creatures. So we can have city-crushing giants and people-bursters and other nasty stuff from all directions.

The pilots that came with the old 1/72 Hasegawa Shinmeiwa seaplane were so small that they fit nicely in a 1/100 plane. But I don't know if they were common in other old Hase kits. -i- edit: I just noted that this set has two seated pilots (kinda)
