  1. The Pla4u site has a small preview pic of the 1/48 Sylphide.
  2. Carrie-Anne Moss could have done the Major, if she hadn't been wasted in the Matrix sequels.
  3. I actually aimed for Wilma, but had to settle with buck It was a childhood trauma for me that I didn't buy the kit when I had it in my hands. Got this one from Blackaces. -i-
  4. Interesting too see that people know Buck Rogers here. The Thunder Fighter is one of the hottest starship designs ever. I should complete my Monogram kit one day.
  5. I hope we'll see more progress pics of the Thunder Fighter in the future.
  6. It's from MaK http://www.theRPF.com/index.php?showtopic=119245
  7. That is great news! I better start building up a Yukikaze budget... -i-
  8. I'm sure you did your research, but - the head looks too big. Otherwise, impressive work as always. -i-
  9. Pla4u is teasing us with more (& bigger) Yukikaze fighters: 1/72 Fand 1, 1/48 Supersylph and 1/48 Sylphide http://blog.naver.com/seolpung
  10. I get a >>seamline alert<< from the left back weapon joint. But overall, this looks cool. I think I'll buy the upcoming AC4 unit next year. -i-
  11. If you don't like 90 minutes of rotoscoping, you can try the graphic novel, which is made from film stills and works like a regular comic book. It also helps that you can flip back a few pages and work yourself through the manically twisted plot. http://www.randomhouse.com/pantheon/catalo...n=9780375424021
  12. I don't know about the performance, but the MIG 1.44 had an interesting configuration. I wonder why it was neglected by game designers so far. -i-
  13. The "Live Action" Labor design was actually supervised by Oshii himself, propably executed by Atsushi Takeuchi, who's involved in most of Oshii's work. Nevertheless, it looks stupid. -i-
  14. oh well... modified indeed
  15. If I wanted to scratchbuild the X-02, I would not start with a kit of the YF-23, because the only parts I could use were the ruddervators and the landing gear. While the planes do share the same basic arrangement and the characteristic ruddervators, the cross sections of the fuselage are different from nose to tail. Without the wings, the body of the X-02 resembles more that of a SU-27 on a diet than that of the YF-23. The kit in the Hobby Japan mag shows the AC4 version of the plane.
  16. I said fewer (than in the photoshopped pic), not few. And with your logic, you will find out that the F-15 and F-18 are actually the same plane! -i-
  17. I never denied that. I just wanted to correct the X-02 = YF-23 opinion, and state that the Namco designers were not that lazy when they made up the X-02. And I'm very happy that they chose the YF-23 as a base for their advanced fighter design. -i-
  18. It should be noted that the X-02 photochopped from the YF-23 image does not show the X-02 from the games. The actual model shares fewer similarities with it's counterpart.
  19. Valkyrie, I will have to raid your place... More (possible) insights from the IMDB board: "My opinion? Rei and the Machine merges with the Jam, becoming the new machine god. We understand in the 5th episode that the Jam is not after victory, and that any fight anyone takes part in, Jam already knows the outcome of. Jam is part machine, part etheral essence. I think this is a hint because it may be what Jam is searching for all along - a new human that is capable of merging with a machine. Why? Who knows... maybe Jam was just lonely. Maybe Jam was dying and needed a replacement. Maybe Jam DID intend to invade earth, but the power Jam had was in the end taken over by Rhei and the machine - we learn that there IS no other dimension, that it's all in Jam's mind (or rather, Jam projects it into anyone crossing over). In the end, they gain Jam's power which is why we even see him after he has died. That's me, and I always look for the happy ending."
  20. They're the same, with the exception that the X-02 looks better
  21. There never was a Hase kit of the X-02. The kit in the magazine was scratchbuilt by one of Hobby Japan's modelers (in Hasegawa quality, no less). -i-
  22. The cockpit pod is a solid piece of clear resin and still needs to be polished & painted.
  23. My FAND II with decals on, before final flat coat.
  24. Perfect work! So what's next? We're missing a Flip Knight conversion for the Mave... -i-
  25. I'd love to take that tank into a photo studio for a day. -i-
