  1. What I'm collecting at the moment: I kill giants A somewhat twisted child's story published by Image, I love the art and storytelling. The final issue lies ahead, can't wait to see where it will go in the end. http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=16178 DMZ Civil war in the US. Manhattan is the DMZ, where journalist Matty Roth tries to survive the struggles of the powers that rule this world. I read the TPBs, and each one of them is like a really great movie. http://www.dccomics.com/vertigo/graphic_novels/?gn=5272 The Nightly News Very twisted story and very wicked art by Jonathan Hickman. Gives graphic storytelling a well-deserved kick in the butt. http://www.pronea.com/tnn.html
  2. Does somebody know the name of this unit and if it is released yet?
  3. Here's another useful pic in case you want to go crazy on the details.
  4. I've seem the "Assault" remake with Ethan Hawke and found it sucked majorly except for the opening sequence where his team is killed. Watch "Nid de guêpes" (engl. title "The Nest") sometime to see how it should be done, you won't be disppointed.
  5. Same here. Should be a good way to compensate the higher price for the kit.
  6. Am I the only one who thinks that Carpenter's movies did not age well? I don't mind remakes like Siri's Nid de guêpes which takes the concept from Assault on Precinct 13
  7. With the fix of her arm, Misa will look great, though the fans might want more anime-styled hair . The female helmet looks amaziing!
  8. The new issue of Model Graphix is not only full of VF-25 goodness, it also has a new VF-4 build. Grab it here
  9. So you plan to build a transformable version?
  10. Remove the tape already. The tension is killing me.
  11. I wonder if the iBridge will also have the analog Trek wiring, i.e. when a part of the ship gets damaged in a fight, the appropiate console on the bridge blows up in the operators face.
  12. At first I thought Rorschach was flying up the building 36 second into the trailer, but I think they just gave him an improved rope gun.
  13. I think there will be a high demand for Alto/Ozma/Micheal/Luca & Sheryl figures, too, while the franchise is still hot.
  14. Looks like I will actually go into a theater next year to watch a Trek movie.
  15. 1/72 Alto plz. You could make 1/72 Crusher Joe and Alfin while you're at it...
  16. IMDb reports Joe Johnston as director for Captain America. Stan Lee supports Smith for the role. Btw, Beyoncé wants to be Wonder Woman - do I see a pattern here?
  17. Time to revive this thread with some visuals: Hi-Res versions here
  18. Agk! Baka gaijin. Just saw The Thing on TV and thought this needs a remake with Cloverfield shakycam and such, then read about Ronald D. Moore already being involved in the work. Guess it was even mentioned in this thread. Is it true that (oh noes!) Natalie Portman was cast for this?
  19. To me, EVA designer Ikuto Yamashita is the God of Mecha Design. His EVA sketchbook and the Dark Whisper mangas still blow my head off, as does the Yukikaze artbook. New EVA-02's colors are too busy for my taste, not sure about the horns.
  20. The Forbes side you linked to gives me different figures: US BO 116,8 million and foreign 232,9 million. Now I'm very open to somebody convinving me that the movie bombed, but please try harder. I understand that the movie did not make the most of it's budget (besides being generally lame), but it's nowhere near the financial desaster that it became a synonyme for.
  21. x2 His later books were pure C-movie stuff, but Andromeda and the dinosaurs rule the earth.
  22. That's what I had in mind. We have diffferent brands here in Germany, but this acrylic ink is what I use for tinting clear Styrene (with airbrush, of course). The pure paint layer is easily scratched, so it should be mixed with FFA or receive a sealing coat.
