I think you can expect a regular kit release, but also a hefty SHE price tag. Maybe it will show up at the Shizuoka hobby show. Note that the prototype shows the stepped surfaces of a 3D-print. So SHE has switched to CAD manufacturing.

With a limited release of 1000 pieces it's more of a collector's item. This releases me of the issue if I would pay 3000 Yen for a 12 cm kit with zero details. I think the world needs a good 1/48 garage kit.

I had a small WIP at another forum, but the site was nuked. There is a lot of masking work, and I painted the upper arms and legs and masked them before attaching the lower parts The white rings at the shoulders were masked with frisk film; there are small blades you can fit into a compass to cut perfect circles. Here's an almost-complete shot, but I still have to finish the weapon before I take "studio" shots. The stand is painted silver now.
